As you may or may not know I became an aunty for the 2nd time last week, my sis lives the other side of the country & our first visit will be this Sunday, I've done the usual by sending flowers etc but I know from conversations with my sis that they don't need anything, they have a very small house & just don't have the room for lots of toys/teddies/baby clothes etc of which they already have plenty,
So last weekend I decided to make up a "Practical" gift box of all things they will need & use reg over the next few weeks, I have wrapped up a cardboard archive box with pink paper, I have bought a large (70) pack of huggies but I decided it would be better to buy the next size up (11 - 20lbs) just in case they have plenty of the newborn size, these won't go in the box as it is too big,

So far I have

3x packs cloth baby wipes
Tube teething gel
water filled teething ring
Baby shampoo
Baby wash
A gift set containing lavender room mist, baby wash & bubble bath to help with sleep
Sterilising tablets

Any more suggestions?

Something nice for the mum - bath salts or something similar?? ( assuming that father takes charge of the baby for a bit so she can get some her time....) or things like that??

I think you've got it all covered. We go through baby wipes at a rate of knots in this house.
