Albums........this Years High & Lowlights

I think Marr made the Smiths good, Morrissey made them great. Heading to see him at the end of the month.

You are the Quarry is probably his best solo stuff, pipping Vauxhall and I, but I'm not mad on the singles he released from it.

Archie, Definitely, a bad piece of something last night, hairy enough journey on the commute into work today. I think I could have beaten Dayjur on the 100yard sprint to the front door.
Not sure if you needed to hear that ....

After listening to the album only once....about 10 minutes ago!!! Im gonna stick U2-'How to dismantle an atomic bomb' up as an Album of the year. Track 3, sometimes you cant make it on your own was written i think for bonos Dad, Bob who died in 2001....a really emotional song with Bonos vocals at their best!!

If you dont already have it, and you dont think Busted are a good band.....buy it !!!

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on this one.....I love U2. If the song you reckon was written for Bono's Dad is anywhere near as good as the last one he wrote for his Dad (Kite) it should be pretty decent. I've got the Elevation Tour DVD & it's fantastic, his performance of Kite is amazing....on that tour he was dedicating it to his Dad as he died during that tour.

To be honest this is the first U2 album ive ever bought! Ive always admired them for what theyve done in the last god knows how many years but nothing ever made me feel i had to buy an album. Saw them on Johnathon Ross the other night though, they did Vertigo, their first ever single and sometimes you cant make it on your own, Johnathon ross mentioed that the song or maybe even the whole album was dedicated to Bonos Dad.

Ill probably end up owning every album they've ever made now, this one just keeps getting better and better!!!

If you do go & get more, I can strongly recommend All That You Can't Leave Behind, it's absolutley superb. I've got at least half a dozen U2 albums & I reckon it is far & away their best album. The DVD of the Elevation Tour in Boston is well worth getting too; in the gig they run through most of the big hits from their career.
