Another Newbie

I thought the only purpose of a betting syndicate is if all members bring something to the table ?

If and thats if you're making regular dough from what you do then whats in it for you ? You either take a percentage off them for making them money or you're just sharing what you do for free and giving yourself a headache getting other people's money on.

Whilst my response was honest, it was given to what I thought was you asking about buying/syndicating horses. As to the forum question - in answer I can only think of (but not paraphrase) the great Groucho Marx....... These are my principles. If you don’t like them, I have others

Slim sent me a DM kindly sharing his opinion.

In short, it is not worth the aggravation.
I do not need their money, it was them asking me and I do not see any reason to do so unless I fancy a headache.

It has the potential to ruin long term friendships, even if it generates profit for them.

No I know who Phil Waters was on here (aka Swirly Chaser) and I stand by my comments. It was probably before your time on here. I (and many others mainly of the female disposition) was very glad when he was permanently banned.

Ah me who got my wires crossed then I was just finding hard to believe that there had been 2 scoundrels mentioned on the same thread.

What did the "Scoundrel" do?

As Phil Waters AKA Swirly Chaser has been mentioned a few times, I have become a little curious.

I just found info about someone by that name with the same AKA who is a published Musician
 
Well you can read about Chris Beek as I said. Phil Waters hopefully has disappeared into the ether. He was nasty and hugely misogynistic and despite the mods trying hard, it took a while for him to be banned.
