Arrivals 2014

It's still a beautiful photo. Even though I'm still smarting from not listening to advice given on here to back her in the Arc....

Is it me or does there seem to be a lot of fillies being born as Frankels offspring?

Midday foals a filly by Frankel a few days ago

Yep, taking a chance on a mare bought cheaply with a very nice french pedigree and two good horses that should upgrade the pedigree this season. She will be sold in foal.

The mare going to DOW was originally in quarantine to go to the US to Warfront so it's penny pinching to change to his son more locally.

The others are now pencilled for Zoffany and Al Kazeem.

EUROPEAN champion Goldikova delivered her second foal, a filly by Galileo, in Ireland on Thursday.
The daughter of Anabaa enthralled racegoers during a five-season career before retiring to stud, winning 14 Group 1 races including three renewals of the Breeders' Cup Mile - becoming the first horse ever to achieve such a feat.
Bred and raced by the Wertheimers, Goldikova was sent out by former jockey and renowned trainer Freddy Head, lining up on 27 occasions and only once failing to make the frame.
In addition to her impeccable race record, Goldikova boasts an enviable broodmare pedigree. She is one of five Group winners for her dam Born Gold - among them Prix Vermeille heroine Galikova, by Galileo - who is herself a sister to dual Group 1 winner Gold Splash, the dam of Listed winner Royal God.
The pair are out of Prix Saint-Alary winner Riviere D'Or, a daughter of Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe winner Gold River and a half-sister to black type scorers Chercheur D'Or and Goldneyev.
Last year Goldikova delivered her first foal, a colt named Goldikovic, who is also by Galileo.
Goldikova will visit the champion sire once again this season.

The first foal for the Sadler’s Wells son who is also a 3/4-brother to Frankel, Bullet Train, sired his first foal over the weekend. Steven Sullivan bred a strong and correct filly out of Viscountess (IRE), a winning daughter of Green Desert.
Bullet Train, a 114 Timeform rated Group 3 winner and early favorite for the Group 1 Epsom Derby, is a 3/4-brother to arguably the greatest horse of all time, Frankel.
Bullet Train was bred to over 200 mares between both hemispheres last year.
Bullet Train is standing for $7,500 stands and nurses at Crestwood Farm in Lexington, Kentucky.

Fame And Glory sired his first foal when Minch Bloodstock’s Have More produced a bay colt at Castlehyde Stud on Monday night. Have More is a half-sister to Junior who won a Grade 2 hurdle at Sandown for Alan King along with the ‘Kim Muir’ at Cheltenham by 24 lengths and the Listed Rehearsal Chase at Newcastle for David Pipe.
Grange Stud manager Albert Sherwood said: “He’s a good foal, with plenty of size and great presence. We’d be delighted to see more like him.”A brilliant racehorse by Montjeu, Fame And Glory won Group 1 races at 2, 3, 4 and 5 years including the Irish Derby by 5 lengths.
