Backing Venetia Williams' Chasers In November with Andrew Mount

I think it was Euro who made a good point about this.

If the horse is good enough she can train it. I think that's what he said anyway.

The Famous Five is just a hound, time to forget him.

As for people who just back all her horses, I've never done that anyway, regardless of what month it is. Pleased about that.

When they start to go NRNB on the Cheltenham Festival this horses price is going to get carved up like the Christmas turkey.

There's only two races he'll realistically go for, The County or the Martin Pipe.

Given the distance of todays race you'd have to think the latter was more probable now.
This.

I would love an 'experts' opinion on this forum, but won't hold my breathe.

I spoke to my friend today who used to work there and still has connections. She said they have looked at everything - bloods all good and horses are looking and training well. No obvious cause but they are completely flummoxed as to why. I did suggest she mentioned checking the water issue I had as mine were the same and we had zero idea what was causing it.
She was really emotional after L’Homme Presse ran a good race on Saturday. Obviously very concerned.

Yes she was. I imagine she's going through hell atm and I really feel for her. When you have checked everything and you still are nowhere nearer finding an answer, it's soul destroying.

The conversation I had with Jim Old who also experienced the same was similar. He said literally nobody believed him and it caused him to end his training career. It realistically did the same for me (I had this for FOUR years!) - the hardest thing for me to accept was that my landlord withheld this knowledge deliberately.

The Passing Wife led at the final flight before going clear to score easily by nine-lengths.

Gavin Cromwell said: “Maybe we over faced him the last day going to the Grade 1 but we are back on track there. It’s nice to win a maiden with him and he’s qualified for the handicaps in Cheltenham.

“We’ll freshen him up and probably go for either the Martin Pipe or the Coral Cup as he’d want a trip.”

Thanks to Irish Racing.com for this. Very helpful.

So Slim was right, he won't win the County Hurdle!
