Brilliant - Will you be putting up the whole list again when all are named.

I'll just update it - like I said should be soon enough, this weekend or early next week.

Very early but the two I heard positive mentions for are the Galileo colts out of St Roch and Play Misty With Me.

It would be disappointing if Holy Roman Emperor couldn't get at least one very smart two year old out of that bunch of mares.

He seems to have more fillies this year, I counted around 28 there compared to only 4 in the list you put up for last year.

Definitely more this year but there was nearly 20 last year (just double checked last years and the * are positioned at different points so easy to miss!).

It seems that they have used more sires this year which is good most of them then seem to be owned by Smith. I like the look of Mr Greeley ex Lady Carla i've always been a fan of Mr Greeley it would be great if he came to Europe for a season or two i never noticed them in the horses in training book. I'm surprised theres no colt by A.P Indy.

Really good to see mares I remember racing producing foals now (only got into racing in 2003). Rumplestiltskin, Mona Lisa and Virginia Waters offspring should be interesting, particularly Mona Lisa who I thought was an under rated filly.

Shame he campaigns them poorly and swerves the big targets against the colts.

He's had 3 truly awesome fillies in recent years who have been all but forgotten because he didn't test them in the top all sex group ones. It's one of my biggest grievances with AOB.

Everyone remembers Ouija Board's exploits outside of the Oaks, I suspect your average Saturday afternoon racing fan would have to scratch their heads to remember where Peeping Fawn and Halfway To Heaven even ran.

Gamla Stan,

Peeping Fawn, Alexandrova, and Halfway to Heaven did not race beyond their 3 year-old seasons, although the first two were supposedly kept in training at 4 (never raced). Ouija Board didn't race against colts until her 4 year-old season and didn't make her best mark until she was a 5 year-old.

I for one would have loved to see Peeping Fawn race on. I wonder what happened - was she just fed up after her really tough 3 year-old season?

On a different tack, I recall having read somewhere that Peeping Fawn was to go to Henrythenavigator for the 2009 breeding season and never read another word about that. What happened? Did she have a foal this year, or was she barren? Anyone know???

Fair point regarding ages but I do think they duck challenges with their top fillies.

Had Ouija Board or Dar Re Mi been under AOB's care, they would never have had the same star studded CVs they have now.

I have a few to add:

Hurricane Run - Cache Creek (colt)
Holy Roman Emperor - Song of the Sea (filly)
Galileo - Ziffany (colt)
Montjeu - Gwynn (colt)
Storm Cat - Starry Dreamer (colt)

I also have the following as fillies rather than colts:

Galileo - Mona Lisa
Galileo - Pieds de Plume
Hurricane Run - Daspectra
Peintre Celebre - Wavey

That gives a total of 72 colts and 34 fillies.

Peeping Fawn was a bit of a monster alright - loved to have seen her take on the colts with a bit of juice in the ground.

She was absolutely fantastic, she would have held a live chance had she lined up in the 2007 Arc but I think the tough campaign took it's toll on her.

Too lazy to go back and amend tonight - will do tomorrow - am sure you are right about the fillies vs colts.

When I went with Blazing Walker to the Tatts November Sales we had them trot out the Montjue x Colorspin colt - not sure they were convinced we knew what we were doing but I did get a photo!

Also saw the Danehill Dancer x Bex colt go through (£200,000) but missed the rest ;)

Well done, Galileo - and GALILEO - what busy lads you've been! That's a heck of a list, plenty of interest for all of us there.

Most have been named, and there is a serious lack of imagination this year. It's very difficult to pick out a potential star from the names. The Galileo-St Roch colt mentioned by Galileo is called Humphrery Bogart, for goodness sake. Marlon Brando might have been more appropriate, the dam is Streetcar.

Gal, do you have the breeding of the dam here. I'm sure the mare I'm turning up is too old to be the Mommy.

Mr Greeley ex Song To Remember - Parkavenue

Thanks by the way.
