It was a ironic really JP had 2 in the race and Darlan ridden by AP was going really well 2 out and fell and badly hampered Maurice Linehan on Get Me Out of Here
The commentator said they were stable companions but he got that one wrong.
Hard to say if it would have made the differnce but Ruby got loads out of Zarkandar and timed it to perfection and Outsider won so who cares.

I think before he was killed people were beginning to think he was already becoming something special and improving all the time
There's little doubt he'd have beaten Rock on Ruby easily and gone on to finished ahead of him again in the Champion Hurdle and Rocky on Ruby ran Hurricane Fly to 2 1/2 lengths on the day.

Pretty ordinary performance considering his reputation.
Can't balme the ground for his workmanlike performance as he's won on soft 2 races ago plus if it's raining it notmally makes soft ground easier to go through than drying out soft.
Nice horse but absolutely no threat to CH or the mare next season IMO.

I was impressed by Sir Gerhard, there wasn't the "wow wtf" of CH's performace but it was still a very good run. Three Stripe Life and until his fall, Journey With Me both ran well too. Stage Star was very disappointing.
