Booking a hotel for a family of five

I wonder if anyone on here with 3 young children have ever attempted to book a hotel room in London?
Probably be easier to assassinate the Queen!
They all want you to book 2 rooms as 4 is the maximum for 1 room.
Any hotel offering rooms for 5 would be deluged with business?

Trivago will turn something up if you search on family rooms. Also Airbnb will have options.
