Plenty of energetic sh*gging would shift more weight than those exercises! (I'm told...)

Well done, Paul. My problem is finding the time for such regular exercise. I'm managing an hour of indoor football once a week and I'm trying to eat differently rather than eat less: more in the moring and at lunchtime, less in the evening. I was supposed to be doing circuit training once a week as well but that seems to have fallen through.

I also play 5 a side for an hour on Fridays and indoor cricket nets have started in preparation for the new season on Thursdays for 2 hours. Once I got into the habit of the new way of eating, it is easy to do.

Good luck with the diet , Paul.

In the past I have had no problem in losing weight, the difficult part for me was once I had lost the weight, to keep my weight at that level. Boredom with the diet always set in and the weight started to creep back up.

Now that I have fully retired it has become almost impossible for me to even attempt to diet. Too much time to think about snacking.

What a novel idea. Have never considered this to now

I've done it but it's quite difficult to avoid the results. They're running across the screen when you're watching other sports on tv, you have to avoid news bulletins and a lot of websites, including a lot of bookmaker sites, and even on ATR you have people giving out the scores. Some idiot on there, a guest, spoiled the last day of the season by divulging the Man City scoreline.

No Hiding Place (20 Feb 73)
Bob and Terry don't want to know the result of the football match between England and Bulgaria before they watch the game on television. They go to great lengths to avoid seeing or hearing the result. Eight long hours are spent trying to find places where there won't be a radio or a television set.
They spend the day wandering around town, giving blood and flower arranging with the Women's Institute. They even try, unsuccessfully, to find sanctuary in a local church.
Meanwhile, Flint is anxious to 'put them out of their misery'. He's bet them that they won't be able to avoid learning the result of the match. He finally catches up with them just before the game is about to be televised. They pay up, then discover that the game had to be abandoned because of a waterlogged pitch.

Yep

I`m three weeks into my latest losing weight plan as advised by my superfit fitness advisor son on my recent visit. He works in Capetown surrounded by cagefighters and rugby men . Basically strict low carb but allows you gin and slimline tonic. Now up to a bottle a night. You won`t recognise me come PP day at Chelt Grassy. Have to put a name tag on.

Was looking for another thread and found del boy's best contribution in the last decade.
