At the Start
Although I am a big fan of Pro Ride, in terms of it's fairness and lower injury record, the fundamental question of racing in the States on any kind of polytrack surface when Americans have spent many decades breeding horses for dirt has yet to be answered. It's a difficult issue but one which will need to be resolved I think in order to secure the future success of the Breeeders Cup. At the moment I am still in the middle of my traditional post-Cheltenham depression but the Breeders Cup and Arc Day in Paris are two of the few flat racing days when the anticipation and excitement comes close to that of Chelts. IMHO of course
