Brian Gleeson

Brix strangely grew on me - I thought she was awful Day 1 and her dress sense - (if you are short & squat you do not wear a dress that makes you look like a Pink SpongeBob Squarepants!) However towards the end of the week she toned down - I'd still prefer the acerbic James Sherwood back as he was completely honest about some of the badly dressed females.

I'm about to email C4 to suggest we run a competition to dress Tarnya - she gets it wrong every time. Makes herself look 60.

bricks was a lovely presenter, u cant beat americans for onscreen presence can u? everythink she done was infectious, great smile, happyness, joy for others, insightful etc shame we cant av her ere each saturday instead of our current crew.

You have all lost the plot! It is supposed to be a show about Horse Racing. The money wasted on those fashion segments is a feckin joke. and not a tweed miniskirt to be seen!

Several in the expanded team aren’t pulling their weight. In defence of Nick Luck, he is professional and attempts to get to grips with the relevant issues. It’s his dead eyes that scare me, I’m beginning to think that he might be the anti Christ... that’s just me though.

Morning Line is slipping into the mire... we don’t want to know about scones and sandwiches!

The main show was pretty good when they were concentrating on the racing.

Loved Fitzgerald as a jockey, but he irritates me almost as much as Carson as a pundit... that’s when I can understand a word he’s on about.

Rishi with a personality wouldn’t be bad.

Gleeson reminds me of the compere on the Father Ted Song For Europe episode.

Who can forget:

My lovely horse, running through the field
Where are you going, with your fetlocks blowing in the wind?

I want to shower you with sugar lumps, and ride you over fences
Polish your hooves every single day, and bring you to the horse dentist

My lovely horse, you're a pony no more
Running around with a man on your back, like a train in the night...

Sublime!

I'd never heard of that creature Brix. I wondered for a while if she was on as some sort of joke but apparently not.

Is her first name Cackin?

On stage... i.e. the consummate professional with the quick hand gestures. Don't know about off stage, but I'm prepared to believe it!

In that episode he has the ultra smooth style when on stage but talks in an incomprehensible rural accent when off it, it's part of the joke.

That's right... he's blind drunk off stage but the consummate professional on stage (...as I say I've no way of knowing if the analogy holds true for Brian!)

Having been subjected to some sh!t tv over the last couple of years thanks to the missus, I can tell you she was on one of Gok Wan's shows (if you don't know who he is I can't help you)..... And she was even more annoying then. It was funny that she put up one tip all week though and it won, you could tell it p!ssed McGrath and Cunningham off and frankly the latter is a supercilious nobber so it was good to watch him squirm.

I think we racing folk just have to accept the fashion bit. If it means we get all six races at the royal meeting then so be it.

I can take the fashion bit. It allows me to get away from the telly for a few minutes at a time. It's the total &rseholes that are wheeled out year in year out to do it that annoy me.
