Butternut Squash

Cream of Cauliflower soup for me, any day.

(Tesco do a slightly less artery-choking version and use cheese in theirs, for good measure - not bad.)

Love green veg, all of the brassica / cabbage family, not too keen on root veg which, as most you seem to agree, are pretty awful in soups. Tried carrot and coriander once - never again. Pukily sweet.

Carrot (for me) is good raw and grated in a salad, or when cooked in gravy, as in a stew.

I cannot physically manage to prepare, let alone eat, fish or shellfish. The mere smell makes me heave.
