Calling Londoners

That's a good summary bar and ultimately you do end up where there are those that love you.Even if its just yourself. Home is home

Plenty have moved out to the sticks from the smoke and gone bananas. Also I've known many that have taken jobs "nearer to home" (ie slough or Croydon) and missed the centre far more than they imagined.

Of course, but a proportion would have gone bananas anyway :)

Anyways, looking forward to my visit this weekend.

My brother lives in London. I'm not really sure whether he likes it.

I'm sure he did at first (he's been there about 40 years) but I think he really only remains there because that is where the work is.

My niece has been there a few years now and likes it but I think she'd prefer to be back up here if, again, she could get the kind of work she does. She says London is probably the only place in the UK she knows that offers the kind of work she does.

I've a few other cousins down there but they are pretentious nutters. The type that admit to finding their flat situated above a coffee coffee shop is something 'sexy'. FFS.

I'd live just about anywhere in the world that offered me lots of sunshine, dry weather and cheap living.

I'm looking forward to going to London but that's more about meeting up with my brother than seeing any sights (which I've no intention of doing). A quiet bit of reminiscing over a few nice beers while Mrs O deals with her appointment will be fine by me.
