Must be that old Micheal Mcintyre floppy hair thing you've got going on that draws them in. Never watch those sorts of programmes I'd rather stick pins in my eyes.
 
I don’t join in with the threads about big races, Cheltenham etc. because my interests lie more in the maths of betting rather than the form book. I can get just as much pleasure out of a winner at Wolverhampton on a wet Wednesday as others may from a Gold Cup win.

Absolutely not an capall I've said before I'm not the best with writing or concentration I have to go back through whatever I've written a few times to try and edit all the mistakes. If I'm posting from my phone things tend to get even worse. So if I've missed something it's not deliberate. Just writing basic things is a challenge for me and punctuation I'm basically guessing.

And just for the record I read through a few old posts last night some where I thought Tanlic had posted stuff that was downright fucking awful to me a lot worse than the event he's been banned for. I'm not part of the Ian Davies hate club as like I've said he's done nothing bar perhaps a bit of mild baiting/winding up. I haven't seen anything he's done in the past so cant judge based on that. If anything I've been more pissed off with Maurice who I felt insulted something I said the other week without reason or explanation dropped the mic. That's only really because we have talked privately with him before and I've always thought he was a decent sort and whilst we'd have fairly different opinions in life we've always got on to some extent and there has been some sort of level of respect well at least on my part. I'm presuming that I'm the one person he has on ignore and if that's the way he's gone with it fine it's no bother to me.

All this stuff to me is childish shit. I like racing forums I always have but they've died off over the years with Ted's lot over at final furlong. Ohracing died off which I still think was the best run forum I've ever been involved with. When I read through posts here last night there were obvious names of big contributors who've fell by the wayside obvious ones like Grassy and the ones like Diamond geezer and dvds who are no longer with us. ( Is the other Colin still with us can't remember his name basically run the place I think.) But they were others like G-G who I'd forgot about and plenty more.

I'm certainly not here to cause divide or wreck one of the last forums standing. If I can make it better I will. Though if someone spouts an opinion that i feel wrong I reserve the right to at least question it. The day someone says I'm not welcome here they won't need to ban me I'll leave and it'd be no skin off my nose. Like I've said ill still be around. I won't continue with Diary of a fool as it would of cut close to the bone. It wouldn't have been relevant to most of the older folk on here but may have been to younger browsers to see detailed mental struggles, the ups and downs of a gambling lifestyle and if nothing else in my life I've been a master of failure and mistakes and if I could stop anyone from making the same ones I would, or going down paths I've been down one's that lead as close to hell on earth as one can get then that's what I hoped Diary of a fool could be or would grow into as my writing hopefully improves. But I can't do that amongst the easily offended or people who can't debate as adults. Ignoring people who disagree with you is a dangerous game it leads to bad places.

What ever anyone thinks of me here some might like some might hate I'm genuinely trying to aim at the good in life and mean harm to no-one. No one I ever met in life and I've met some wrong uns has ever done more damage to me than I've done to myself..I've been in places in my life where I've prayed for death for many years. Thats probably the thing that is my my strongest asset in life now. What can anybody possibly do or say that can take me to a worse place than that ? (see the darkest moments of our lives - Vince lombardi) It cant be done. That's why I can't take all this shit seriously.

Yeah I'm rethinking going to Turkey to get some hair implants but I'm also thinking the cheapest option would be to just get a strip done down the middle and grow it into a mohawk turning my midlife crisis up to jedi level.

As regards betting, don't let anyone tell you how to bet, choose your own road and stick to it.

I remember when racing forums were thriving and people would come up with weird systems but nowadays they are shot down in flames by the old guard and accused of being wannabee tipsters. Among all the strange systems there may well be just one item of interest worth following up.

I got a life ban from UKbetting for standing up to one of those po-faced characters who kept telling me that I was doing it all wrong but never offered any advice. I wasn't rude to him just told him to mind his own business.

Re systems / stats etc, I once took out a trial subscription to a racing database company and ran a few ideas through it.

I came up with one that over a five-year period (the extent of the database, I think) on the Flat had 30 selections with 30 winners, not all of them favourites.

While going about my normal studying and punting business I kept an eye of for anything that fulfilled all the selection criteria. The first one lost but I was generous enough of spirit to put it down either to bad luck or an outlier. The second one lost. I decided to end my pursuit there.
