The Exacta was £346.60, and the CSF paid £443.28. I thought they might have reached £1,000 with 25/1 and 66/1 for the 1/2. Today's Placepot will be a good one.
Willie Mullins said on RTV - discussing Lossiemouth's win - that he thought horses didn't benefit from schooling over jumps.
 
Onto Punchestown so.

Hopefully they all clash again and thank God everyone was okay, human and equine.

Credit to the winning team for running. Rich Ricci coming in for some grief for his decision.

Feel like Lossie will definitely run in punchestown champion, so let's see how the two fallers pull out as they will definitely be sore tomorrow.

BDA must have left her race behind her over Christmas, because I can't believe she's that level.

Townend's the villain here imo. Like Walsh before him he wants to ride all the good horses and with State Man coming to himself at home obviously the dream scenario was Lossie in the Mares and SM in the Champion. Karma that the latter fell. I laughed I confess.

So disappointing wasn't it.such a shame that what happened happened.
Still,they all get to try another day and that is what matters.
Be nice if they all turned up at punchestown inc Lossiemouth.
And then we can all start the argument over who's best all over again.
 
I'll be licking my wounds for quite some time but I am hoping for a Jonbon Galloping Des Champs double will go a long way to soothing the pain. Michael Buckley said the hurdle sprung back into Constitution Hill s path I thought he simply didn't jump it.
After the first race I thought all my Xmas were about to come but Majborough and Constitution Hill soon brought me back down to earth. Then I backed Lossiemouth but doubled her with Constitution Hill
Duh!

The rest of my day could not have gone any better..I baked all 3 handicap winners but in the place market but tbh I've
lost more than I won down the back of the couch
Worst day betting wise I can remember.😪😪😪🥶
 
Missed the whole sorrry scene,as I spent the whole afternoon at the hospital.
Some may revel in the result, but he'll remain as the best hurdler I've seen.
Gutted for Nicky; don't how he copes with the slings and arrows,but his knockers will have their day in the sun.

My problem with Nicky is that his conservatism has deprived us of 2 years of seeing "the best hurdler ever" in his prime. 1 Champion Hurdle is a pitiful return for that amount of talent.

I also think that yesterday was the first time in years that someone has properly put it up to CH, he didn't cope well.

I'd love to see him in a mid-summer flat campaign. I'm in a syndicate that has actually won the Cesarewitch, tbh CH would have run through our boy. He could then reappear over hurdles after Christmas.

the horse was in the vets hospital with suspected colic and has had various other issues. i get annoyed with hendo's safety first approach at times but i don't really see it with this horse. think they've just had bad luck.

disagree with 2nd point also, they weren't even at a point in the race where anyone had "properly put it up" to him. he seemed to me to be cantering along off a moderate speed just fine and just went in to low to the hurdle. these things happen.
 
Thinking of next year and the top of the market ante-post is gonna be Con Hill, State Man and Lossiemouth and I'd like to be against all those. Kopek looks like a chaser to me so I'm mulling over William Munny and The New Lion. Gonna be an interesting market heading into the summer
