Channel 4 - Sat 9th Nov

On a more serious point why can't they show the Rising Stars Novices Chase with the potential clash between Wonderful Charm and Oscar Whisky in the half an hour between the last two races from Donny ?

Right, that's it, I'm definitely switching off at that point!

Interesting reading your posts simmo

Do you get lonely at all?

I only ask because people like you often find it hard to make friends.

Do the local kids throw things at you when you go for a walk? Must be tough I suppose

In the week A P McCoy reaches 4000 winners this week's Morning Line guest is.....yes you guessed it............Andrea Atzeni

Unfortunately due to family commitments I was unable to view today's racing.

So did anyone fetch them out? Did Jim's population paste adorn Cunningham's face or did Nick Luck rob it to use as moisturiser?

I, for one, am all in favour of a thread in which the words "pish" and "poshos" are bandied about willy-nilly. More please.

Note to self.........keep your Racing UK subscription.

Channel 4 is to boost its horse racing output across 2014.

As the channel enters its second year of a four-year media agreement, the 2014 broadcast schedule will increase to 90 days with Future Champions Day moving to Friday, 17th October to support the fourth-year running of QIPCO British Champions Day the following day.

The 90 days also include two international contests – the Dubai World Cup and Prix de l’Arc Triomphe.

In 2014, British racing alone will secure over 285 hours of terrestrial coverage on Channel 4 the broadcaster states and adds that with racing from around the UK taking in some 31 racecourses the annual hours include 63 Morning Line packages for Saturday fixtures and top level-racing such as the Cheltenham Festival, Grand National Meeting, Royal Ascot and King George VI Chase.

In 2014, Channel 4 will broadcast over 528 British races plus the traditional supplements of top Irish contests and extra material such as the earlier Shergar Cup races live on More4. Channel 4 provides unprecedented terrestrial coverage of horseracing which no other sport can boast.

Our financial investment in racing is matched by our commitment to the sport and we look forward to working with the industry to continue to strengthen our group objectives. – Jamie Aitchison, Channel 4’s Sports Editor

Over 2013, Channel 4 Racing has continued to attract new viewers to the sport with over 23 million viewers watching Channel 4 Racing coverage over the year-to-date based on BARB reach figures – almost 40% of the UK population. In other words, C4 had the Grand National this year

If it wasn't for the morning line the missus wouldn't feel the need to get out of bed and make my breakfast each Saturday morning - she has no idea I flick over and watch re-runs of Top Gear while she's cooking.

So give it some leeway guys.
