Yes I stuck her in a forecast with Lossiemouth. I remember that they always thought a bit of her and she’s a Festival winner. Also backed her EW as I thought the price was an insult.

Nice one. I thought she’d struggle in the ground and her chance was a couple of years ago when brought down when having every chance (that one stung)

Yes, the jockey was looking after him from about halfway. I suppose they had to let him take his chance but obviously with hindsight I wish they'd taken it out.
 
Not too despondent at the end of Day 1.

I was marginally in front after the second race and avoided the hot shots but Mr V covered a fair chunk of the Salvador Ziggy bets and the Boodles winner covered everything else and left me in front and hopeful for Wednesday.

Ziggy is still hurting, though...
 
I’ve had an OK day.
Gaelic Warrior to win
Forecasts on Lossiemouth and Tellmesomethinggirl and also the last race
And various placings at decent prices so I’m marginally up on the day.
A fair start and I’m happier now.
Im also definitely going next year if we have the three clash in the Champion!

I think used a bet on him for our forum anti post compo on the wrong race a few months ago, for the Brown Advisory. I had the right idea but on the wrong race. At least it wasn't real money.

Friend of mine messaged to say people were still there at 8pm! No tractors available to tow people out (unlike Point to Points where we always have them). I imagine that they look horrendous today and no idea how they will be able to use them today.
