I was reding some avicultural matter a bit earlier and statistics show we are buying less turkeys this year due to the avian flu, well, it is not in the country so I can only assume that the tabloids have been up to their scaremongering tactics.

Turkey hatch from the egg earlier in the year, from that point they are fattened up, they are force fed, a tube is pushed into their crops food goes down the tube untill their crop is near bursting point, this happens all through the year untill the present when they are big enough to slaughter, do you reckon they are safe ? my own opinion, knowing how they are reared and the housing they are reared in. yes, 100% safe :D

Thats fine Colin, but I prefer beef, errrrrr, not beef or salmon :D just beef

Talking of Turkeys I see one's been banned from FF today. Takes a lot for Ted to show someone the door to be honest, he'd give Ronnie Biggs a job in a bank. However some just push it too far it seems :(

Bit of a strange way of going about things?

If a person doesn't wish to be in a forum then seems logical to just leave

There's a reason for all things Manorboy. If you are so curious why not send that member a PM rather than use this thread which hasn't nothing to do with what you are discussing. :)

Even more ironic that the aforementioned turns up on the forum the appearance of whose members on FF led to that rant

Seems very little reason to abuse people in the way you did though Mark to be honest.

Bit sad really.

Manorboy (Joe I assume) this isn't FF, this is TH and I have no intention of debating problems on here that happened on FF, it's not the right place, not everything is as black and white as you may think. As far as I am concerned I won't debate the subject with you on here any further.

I will. Mark, you went off on a tirade of abuse on FF. A major concern of yours was that members join different forums. Why do you do the very thing for which you criticise others? Pathetic really.

In answer to the title of this thread, no, I don't think turkeys are safe.

Quite the opposite in fact, with Christmas just around the corner, lots of them are likely to be slaughtered.

???? I thought you re-named it Talking B*****ks whilst you were slating here & it's forumites. Pathetic really Mark - in the past you've already not only attacked this place many times but come over here just to cause trouble.

How long before you lose the plot completely on here like you did at FF? I give it a week, tops....

Relks -

I'm looking forward to my locally reared free range bird this year - they taste sooo much better than the supermarket ones. With my sausagemeat, chestnut & cranberry stuffing it'll be grand.... B)
