Jimmy styles

Tanking along in this race jimmy styles may or maynot have been unlucky along with seeking magic, the 4th and 5th furlong running up the back of everything getting no run.Was still hampered with a furlong to go and was still running on at finish,he's now dropped to lowest mark since april 2011 very rarely contests handicaps first run in handicap since September 2011.On this performance there is no reason why he can't go close on this run and may just get underestimated in the betting.

Night of thunder

One of the if not the most impressive debuts of the season winning by 6ls and quickening up on desperate ground in a canter was even more impressive than when al thakira won her debut. The 6ls didn't reflect hios superiority could've been 10ls and that was backed up by the clock only .73 slower than ashpan sam winning the class 3 later on the card off 90 by 3 1/4ls.On this ground looks group horse and again with the 2yr old races being in the main weak there won't be many better!!

it was impressive ... 0.73 difference equates to about 1 sec per mile..which you would expect to be the difference between the age groups in October on the clock..also carried 5 less than Ashpan Sam...AS is probably a 98 horse which makes NOT about 93 just on the rating...lets say he is worth 10lb more on style of win... so would be looking at Listed class imo

The times should be getting closer but I've been looking at the times around the group and listed races and I've kept saying throughout they've been poorAl thakira sluicing up Saturday in the group race I put her down as listed class just on debut run,but I knew that group race on satuirday was weak as are a very high % of them. It's impossible to know how good some of these are but on the clock for a debut this must be in the top 5 this season, you could say 10 pound but it maybe 20 wasn't even a race. It's just having them down on paper knowing they can compete at a certain level on a certain type of ground. If this had been other seasons from the past I wouldn't even mention results like similarly al thakira ,but with all these group races and listed races looking so weak and proven by the clock they're producing some great value.

i do see what you mean

looking at such as the Dewhurst for instance..decently run race..40 mph early..probably the best 2yo around..earned a speed figure of 115 incl wfa...other years you would be looking at probably 8 to 10 lb higher

a below average crop of 2yo's

Your analysis is much more scientific than mine, but to the naked eye it's difficult to get away from the conclusion that this year's juveniles are utter gash.

Never mind, proper racing starting soon (and I don't mean the AW)!

The point is i'm not bothered if they're no good as long as I've got the winners and reputations of stables and weak form lines mis interpreted leading to winners like al thakira etc and value bets.Same with the aw the time I could waste on a jumps card weedling out some value on a handicap I will find in 10 mins in an aw race or just glancing at the prices.Jump racing is like doing a whole turf season with just less value in comparison, like anything else there's still good bets there but not worth all the time and effort.

Your comments: Yet again a sleepless night so have l;ooked through last weeks results not thoroughly as havn't energy or inclination but saw marmalady time of 1m 12.02.Thats a decent time for a 60 rated 3yr old and still only the 6 runs, she's going to get a big hike which maybe slightly unjustworthy on what she's beat even though winning by 7ls.I was hoping she may just get put up 10 pound but highly unlikely but still she won so well and even though a very poor race she has to be worth following short term at

Perfect blossom

Missed this the firs time round when Silvanus was a big eyecatcher in the same race and equally unlucky in running was perfect blossom. She was rated 91 2011 has been with kevin ryan and ian Mciness now with alan berry and has been on the downgrade since winning off 78 September 2012.She has run twice since this run a similar run at riopon gettingleft with too much to do and then a decent third at ayr to equitania. She's now fallen to a mark of 76 lowest mark since july 2010,wouldn't want to be backing her at short prices with this trainer but that's three decent runs and worth a few small bets.

Your comments: Gabrials gift sluiced up in this claimer has looked exposed but the time of this race 1m11.60 and the ease of the win suggests that a mark of 75 looks generous at least over this c/d.Already two class 4 handicaps run over the c/d on Wednesday the times of the winners 1m11.68 and 1m11.99 winners off 77 and 81 gabrials gift looked far superior to those performances and looks worth following at least over this c/d and could well be underestimated if the times are a good guide.Looking at that time

Would be hard to back present trainer scott dixons horses hasn't had a winner for 49 runners, quite a steange betting heat that the two horses in the clock drifted like barges. The winner was hammered and Jeremy gask has had a nightmare season hios horses have been unbackable.

Poetic lord 16/1 365,victor,lads,hills.

5.10 lingfield.

Poetic lord has a great c/d record 1/2/2/3 nothing has run quicker at the track in the field and on last seasons form beat a few of these on several runs, copperwood, siouxperhero, dimitar and favourite perfect mission.Strictly on his lingfield runs you could make him favourite at his best, the 16/1 is huge if he runs anywhere near, the big negative is trainer Sylvester kirk having a terrible season but that's why the horse has been overpriced. He ran 2nd on penultimate run so may be in form on his switch back to the poly,at these prices i'd be amazed if he wasn't heavily backed with such a good c/d record if he doesn't show up then even though he has the bearting of perfect mission that looked just about second in on the figures from that meeting between them.Could well be a very nice trade(ice):ninja: even if no show and probably one for the notebook till when trainer hits form

9/1 that's half a barrow in the bank I took everything down to 12/1 not bad considering trainer hasn't had a winner in 39 runnrrs and teds riding wouldn't like to see a nasty drift on this later with him riding and no profit in the bank!!!

Your comments: A decent time at Leicester for this nursery and at the sort of ratings where there could still be some value all below 75,the winner came from last to first and although put up 5 pound could stil be very well handicapped as looked far superior to these. The 2yr old conditions race later on the card .21 slower won by stars above me rated 86 and only carrying 8-2 as opposed to the earlier handicappers.Been avoiding these nurserys as they looked so weak but this one looks following based on that tim

This race looks like following iover a cliff only .04 slower than ektihaam winning the listed race from Thomas Chippendale by 6ls winner rated 111 runner up 112.The listed race was run at a nice pace certainly not uneven suggesting the handicap is very strong form for the grade.Just looking at the first six home it looks even better when you look at their profiles most of them bar the rinner up have only had 5/6 runs and some were coming off long lay offs.Should be some nice value floating around from this race especially when you get further down the field to horses like mexicali trained by ivory which will undoubtedly be overlooked. The fact the first 6 home are also open to improvement makes it eve more interesting not just the time of the race

Tinshu.

Will add on tinshu especially if she returns to ascot over 1m2fs she travels well on this track and although looked not to stay never got a run so was probably a bit better than she showed and as the time was so good a return here at massive prices she'd be worth a bet.

Farlow,shady Mc coy

The silver cup from ayr is throwiong up winners from what now looks like was a huge disadvantage the 6th ashpan sam has won off 90 by 3 1/2ls and today cheveton in 8th won off 78.Farlow finished on the far side and won on that side and came fifth while shady mc coy still a 3yr old was seventh split ashpan sam and cheveton. They could well be overpriced on this run they obviously like the ground and shady mc coys only had 6 lifetime runs and farlows only had 6 runs this season!!!

How is a form line in may relevant to today? When Mexicali runs over hurdles in 4 years time and wins at Kelso are you going to come back to this tread and claim the form line mate?

You are an unmitigated twat, and most of your posts are drivel, but there is a grain of sense in this.

The form hasn't really worked out (though gigs admits this), and I expect you could take any number of races from May (when there was rain) and point to some winners in the autumn (soft ground horses getting their ground again and being well handicapped).

Today's kaboom might therefore be slightly dubious. However, Gigs's record on here speaks for itself, and this thread is a ready source of winners.

Nothing to do with the ascot race bar it had dropped 5 pound ran well on soft ground lto and hardly raced compared to the others from the race and I got a double figure price. And I dion't give a **** what anyone thinks anyway as it's all free unless of course you're paying me thousands without me knowing!!
