Daily picks.

Bit late now dave only 6 weeks to go hopefully the aw will throw up some gems although most of the racing is so uncompetitive its hard finding many bets nowadays. If by some miracle my health improves I will do the placepot thing I promised last year, but it was the same last year was unwell it's pretty quiet when the aws on so the placepots keep an interest.I havn't been doing them this season obviously but it only takes an hour or two to do an aw card, just hope I start feeling well come November.

The wee chief

A difficult horse to win with but 2/11 on the aw probably ran its worst ever race at Kempton tonight but trainers out of form and jockey claiming 7 had never rode a winner.Last 3 runs previous to tonights run had won off 65 then been 3rd and 4th at Kempton off 69 and previous to those runs rarely ran a bad race at Kempton.Another 0 infront of it with this trainer should ensure some big prices and can run in even weaker races than tonight from better draw with better jock worth keeping an eye out at big prices!

Our generation

A decent time especially for 2yr old making its debut on the aw surface and lots of improvement to come could be absolutely anything on this surface and will be interesting to see if runs again this season.Any flops on the turf would then again make him better value switched to the aw think there are a few better class 2yr old races run over this c/d late in the season i'd be surprised if he's not entered up especially under marco botti decent aw trainer with decent strike rate at Kempton.

A decent time at Leicester for this nursery and at the sort of ratings where there could still be some value all below 75,the winner came from last to first and although put up 5 pound could stil be very well handicapped as looked far superior to these. The 2yr old conditions race later on the card .21 slower won by stars above me rated 86 and only carrying 8-2 as opposed to the earlier handicappers.Been avoiding these nurserys as they looked so weak but this one looks following based on that time and the first 5 were relatively unexposed especially with the decent ground as well.

Horsted Keynes - 04 Oct 2013 16:50 - Ascot, 0m 7f 0y
Trainer: R Varian
Jockey: Jim Crowley
Form figures: 21-1
Age: 3
Country: FR
Past Form: Successful twice at 7f on the all-weather. Won on his latest outing when 7-4fav at Wolverhampton over 7f last month, beating Invisible Hunter by 1 1/4l. He is wearing a hood for the first time.
Your comments: The time on what was probably just slower than standard was decent for the ease of the win and on seasonal debut and only third run.Hand's 'n heels win off a mark of 76 and also .85 quicker than free spin winning the second div hosted Keynes looks well handicapped and again could be another heading for liseted class.Probably one of the few decent looking prospects seen on the aw so far this season

Hot streak,kickboxer

Hot streak performed one of the best performances of the season if not the best at least sprinting wise, this borne out by the clock. An incredible .46 quicker then the previous listed race won by steps and carrying 2 pound more hacking up eased at finish. On top of that was drawn on the stands side and ended up on the far rail so travelled 2-3ls further than anything else in the opening listed race.On this ground and on this track would look virtually unbeatable, must be worth mentioning the channon horse as well was only rated 79 going into this race and there was another 4ls back to the 4th had looked exposed but the time of this race and distance back to the 4th makes the form look decent even though beaten over 5ls.

heavens guest,intrigo

A really decent time although soft ground at Epsom not necessarily going to work out elsewhere but would be hard to back against these two on next runs in same conditons. The previous 7f race ran at a decent pace by emell ratted 102 and well aquainted 102 fought out the finish of the listed race, the time of that race only .25 quicker than the 86 and 82 rated pair in the handicap. There was over 7ls back to the 4th this race the form looks rock solid and these two look to be worth following.

KABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMM THATS THE HERITAGE IN THE BAG WWHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOSSSHHHHHHH Got its ground and back to 7fs!!!!:ninja:

celestial bay,diluga

Don't know whether these are worth following but i'd like to see the marks they're given tonight finishing 1,2 in a maiden over 5 1/2fs running only .13 slower than the class 4 handicap.I'll come back to these once they've got marks as the 4yr olds run to a mark of 75 looking at the handicap and only had two runs and the 3yr old becomes interesting as well once receiving a mark. They may not get decent marks but always worth looking back at just incase the handicapper is lenient!!!

Barons spy

Going to keep an eye on barons spy he's 12 now so maybe past his best but almost invariably wins in june and loves bath now 5/7 over his favbourite c/d.He ran tonight well beaten but this may have just been his prep run,not quite in june yet;) he's down to a mark of 80 lowest since june 2011 when he won.He won last season off 84 so even at 12 he maybe worth backing at some big prices on favourite track.

Nice performance on only third run at swell clocking a reasonable time of 2m36.40 with lots of improvement to come.As many I've put on here recently I've waited to see if he could translate the form to the turf ran ok today but not going to be as good on turf unless he wants further looked at swell as though the further he went the better he was. He's been given a mark of 86 for the aw which may not leave him hardly anything to run in on at swell but worth bearing in mind if he switches surfaces during the winter and a few 0s infront of his name may just get overpriced.Out of top class dirt performers street cry and panty raid he's one to watch closely as he progresses!

Seeking magic

An unlucky loser seeking magic getting shuffled back looked to be cantering over the field but was travellling so well unable to find a gap then getting hampered 2fs out looks a winner without a penalty.Even after losing 3/4ls ran on under hands 'n' heels to be nearest finish, lots left in the hand he could well be listed class looking at this runHe would've beaten doc hay and spinatrix doc hay only beaten 1 3/4ls in the listed race today and spinatrix another progressive sprinter. The entries will be interesting over the next six weeks may well get entered in a listed race and probably overpriced. He's probably one to keep noted for next seson as still only had 15 runs on turf as a 5yr old!!

Comment Two more that were outstanding on the newbury cards on the two days coming 1st and 2nd not sure how the ground compared on the two days but this race was 1.14 seconds slower than somewhats on the following day but lots of improvement to come from the pair. The time of the race also compared well to the very decent claimer on the card win by tatlisu beating balty boys .50 slower.Again hard to at least not have them noted with decent debuts.

Mazovian

Has regressed over the last 12 months only on odd occasion showing glimpse of any form but Michael chapman inevitably always seems to get them back to win and usually at huge prices. He's had two big priced winners that were qiite easily backable under similar conditions over the last month, mazovian ran over 6fs at swell on Thursday was almost 20ls behind at one point. He stayed on albeit through beaten horses but was running on hands 'n' heels still beaten a fully 10ls looks highly unlikely he'll be winning over 6fs again. He was rated 73 last season now down to 60 there was a glimmer of hope in that run and if he does win will probably be at a huge price.Still only 5 there must be a chance of him picking up a race off this mark can actually run in far weaker races than Thursdays off this mark.

Your comments: Hot streak performed one of the best performances of the season if not the best at least sprinting wise, this borne out by the clock. An incredible .46 quicker then the previous listed race won by steps and carrying 2 pound more hacking up eased at finish. On top of that was drawn on the stands side and ended up on the far rail so travelled 2-3ls further than anything else in the opening listed race.On this ground and on this track would look virtually unbeatable, must be worth mentioning the channo

Very rare to see a 2yr old maiden run faster than older handicappers especially class 4 but this maiden was .14 quicker than shafaani winning off 85 in the earlier handicap. It looks unlikely expect will run again this season was runner up to al thakhira another I've out on here on debut at Yarmouth she looked listed class. The fahey horse maybe most likely to run and could be a nice aw horse to follow wuith that time on the clock only debut run and lots of improvement to come.

Your comments: Although obvious the way this filly quickened on soft ground on debut was big eyecatcher there looks loads of improvemet to come and the time compared favourably to the maiden won by gravitational rated 80.The fillies maiden only .74 slower she looks listed class already to me on this run and with so many very weak races around at that level I think she will be value during the autumn in something a bit better.

This was an eyecatching run by verse of love as was squeezed out giving an 8l start running on to be nearest finish, has not looked anywhere near the form of last season when winning off 83 at chester beating strictly silver and bannock. Also followed up this run with a 4th to mister music and boom and bust he looks in good form now and probably with a decent draw at chester or even switched to the aw looks on a winnable mark.

gabrials gift

Gabrials gift sluiced up in this claimer has looked exposed but the time of this race 1m11.60 and the ease of the win suggests that a mark of 75 looks generous at least over this c/d.Already two class 4 handicaps run over the c/d on Wednesday the times of the winners 1m11.68 and 1m11.99 winners off 77 and 81 gabrials gift looked far superior to those performances and looks worth following at least over this c/d and could well be underestimated if the times are a good guide.Looking at that time it would be hard to estimate how much more there is to come.

pivotal silence,gabrial the duke

Reasonable time for the trip at lingfield on the aw and both horses have been disappointing switched to the turf both been beaten at short prices on a few runs. They now become more interesting and should be a bit of value back on the aw and underestimated and still ope to improvement on the surface off marks around 70.

al thakhira

Although obvious the way this filly quickened on soft ground on debut was big eyecatcher there looks loads of improvemet to come and the time compared favourably to the maiden won by gravitational rated 80.The fillies maiden only .74 slower she looks listed class already to me on this run and with so many very weak races around at that level I think she will be value during the autumn in something a bit better.

KABBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMM I thought she looked a little bit special WWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:lol::lol::lol:I also think that was a very weak race!!;)

Jamaican bolt

Got turned over again on Wednesday but again the ground turned against him drying over the 2 days I think was left in just to get a run.He never travelled in the race and think this was still a decent run running on to be nearest finish on ground to fast free zone was rated 105 last season and jiroft had run well at Epsom off 102 behind duke of Firenze yet was only off 92 in this race. This form could be far better than it first appears, jamaican bolts still only had the 12 lifetime runs and although never gets underestimated in the betting is probably worth following blind now the autumn and ground has arrived..

horsted keynes

The time on what was probably just slower than standard was decent for the ease of the win and on seasonal debut and only third run.Hand's 'n heels win off a mark of 76 and also .85 quicker than free spin winning the second div hosted Keynes looks well handicapped and again could be another heading for liseted class.Probably one of the few decent looking prospects seen on the aw so far this season
