It's a super thread gigilo regardless of results. It's refreshing to read someone's view based solely on form. I'm so bored with reading racing analysists cliched ridden, plagiarised views lifted straight from the Racing Post for a selection. The formbook and a good eye will always be king in my mind.
 
If you know all horses running styles and preferences regarding ground etc,you will pick more winners just by purely sitting infront of ratings for a set amount hours aday as opposed to any other way of backing.I actually do this some weeks where by i won't even watch a race and usually they turn over the most winners.The only disadvantage would be if you don't watch the replays at some point you will miss glaring non triers and big prced winners but they are only a small % of your bets.Amazing how most people who bet really don't think you can win on form,all these punters who bet in running yet don't even understand the horses running style etc and they're all shouting bent etc,it really is unbelievable.
 
Ruins the race for me by not placing profit, but i knew i shouldn't have mentioned how well he was riding!!

I've a terrible record backing horses at Kempton. I hate seeing horses hit the front there too early.
 
They looked so slow on times that its last run looked like it could be up there all the way,i knew it would be overbet not really the type of horse i'd back ew normally i won't be backing it again thats for sure.
 
Backed divinsky at 20s on betfair should trade lower in running,i won't be trying to lay off pre race big price.
 
If vitznau repeats his run from the 15th of december should be favourite to win this,first time on the surface travelled easily on the surface only beaten
4 1/2ls by il battista running off 72.The second standpoint was rated 83,recently beaten close second to munsarim and the 4th piceno a length behind vitznau recent runner up to avonrose,today second to city legend.
The fifth from the race podgies boy 2ls behind vitznau has come out and won as well winning off 73,vitznau was off 66 that day and tomorrow runs offf yet another 7 pound lower mark of 59.
Even more interesting was the time that day the race was won in 1m40.68 compared to the win of spacecraft on the card beating two of tomorrows runners general tufto and hilbre court that race was run in 1m42.35 and adjust the weights vitznau comes out 4ls clear.On downgrade and shown nothing on last 3 runs on poly but all wrong trips,this is a terrible race and
yet vitznau is double the price of fav general tufto.This should i expect be backed heavily and even if not producing that swell run there shopuld be a nice trade,could go off fav!!

If i were aboy contests a very weak race for the grade heads the weights and
runs off same mark 70 when runner up off 9-8,the time in that race was ok just uner 2m20.00 over c/d which wouldn't make this a 12/1 shot more like a 5/1 shot looking at the rest of the times from market rivals.
 
Looks like there maybe some bigger prices vitznau early doors,i'm surprised the 12s hasn't gone will be watching this race VERY closely.:cool:
 
No i wasn't colin,perhaps someone should tellme who owns what etc.The price has been smasjhed as i ex[pected anyway.
 
gigilo I know you don't do 1m4f races on the all-weather but I'd like your thoughts on Chookie Hamilton - 1st & 2nd on only two runs at the track and comes back to Southwell 2:20 three years later - is he too high in h'cap?
 
I do the form for every race,i just rarely bet in races further than 1m4fs as theres such little form to go on.That particular race looks very weak especially when you see horses like lockmaster etc who aren't very quick yet is only 7/1.I could easily see it running ok as guaranteed to go on the surface,there were a couple in there that looked really well handicapped on their turf form union island tartan gunna but no course form.Looks a horrible race to bet in think chookies already been backed a little as well.
