Daily picks.

Very rare I get involved in distance betting but took 6/4 +3 lengths. I was praying he wouldn't start posing at the 1f marker.

looked at the wolves race, seem to be involved in a pace duel for the lead all the way round, could be wrong, just faded in the home stretch, todays race
was weak, looked 1/10 shot today

Very doubtful the pace of the race beat it at wolves race wasn't much quicker than the class 6 race won by 50+ rated horse, probably surface as the two tracks are so different so far this season.

surface was the most likely the important factor agreed, doldrums is well bred type tho by bernstein, there not cheap, about 150k us dollars. time was nothing special, still looks a good performance from the winner. that class 6 race the 2nd won the other day, litmus.

Trouble is there will be no value with it as with a lot of the johnstone runners may well go on and win again but you can almost put its price up now 7/2-4/1 running against lots of improvers.Need to be looking for something a lot more interesting that hasn't been noticed, all my future decent bets just aren't running there must be dozens. At the moment the same 5/6 horses on here keep running at no value or races they can't win.Hopefully all the value bets will run on the one day at big prices..

Past Form: Foaled 9 Mar. She has won three times from 6f to 7f including 2 wins on polytrack. Won on her latest outing when 9-4fav over this course and distance last month, beating Captain Secret by 2l. Has won 3 times this season.
Your comments: Porteous looks like a progressive runner winning twice since Thursday and tonight winning this 6f race easily with probably a couple more lengths in hand. The time of the race was 1.23 faster than the maiden and .41 faster than iceblast and .55 quicker than monsieur bond winning older handicaps suggesting she could still be nicely in winning off 69 tonight presume she will be off 75 next time out for some of these very weak nurseries. She seems very adaptable has now won on turf and going both way

Unlucky to just get collared as I thought was well in still a pity as the value will probably be gone now!!

He won 3 last season was runner up twice and returned to c/d of last win running off a 3 pound lower mark of 93.Held up out the back 6ls off the pace to be nearest finish with another of my to follows tinshu should be competitive off current mark and alan mc cabe good at getting the best pout of his aw horses!!

Queen aggie

A dubious ride today on queen aggie seemed to be travelling ok jockey martin lane showing no urgency to get involved in the finish or at least the places mucking about on the inside, this trip on this surface may not have been ideal but certainly wasn't out to win this racer. On previous run was a bit of an eyecatcher running on strongly to be 4th to strictly silca decent time of 1m35.64 at lingfield, she's dropping nicely down the weights was rated 94 early in year. She doesn't look straightforward but interesting the headgear worked at lingfield first time, she was probably run here to see if she stayed the extended mile and worth coming back. She looks in reasonable form now and these races are pretty weak sure evans has her lined up for a race or two around new year!!:ninja:

Your comments: Great effort from capo rosso in visor for second time and only 4th ever run on the aw was entitled to win this on the 3rd behind horsted Keynes but raced with the pace throughout and the form looks rock solid with fantasy gladiator back in third. The runner up was outbattled but was only first run on the surface they both travelled so well they may progress on the surface, they will need to as will have to step up in grade.

Wouldn't be backing this in these class races at swell, massively overbet looking at the sp on this looks likely to be overbet in future!!

Bedloes island

The seemingly exposed bedloes island just getting up to win a very competitive handicap, but first run for alan McCabe after being with O'Meara.Very shrewd entry and on only second ever run on aw surfaces and first at swell this 8yr old cantering over the field a furlong and a half out not getting run, then 1/2 furlong out getting stopped in run again. This was impressive as impossible to make up ground there never mind twice and still getting up to win, most f these races contain aw regulars and can't see any reason why bedloes island can't run well again with only a small rise!!

Your comments: Two very strange rides by martin lane recently riding the mare and eyecatching both times, she had been running well on the aw this was her grade tonight and she should be competitive in these races. She's currently running off 65 and although she doesn't win often is usually overpriced because of trainer .She sluiced up off 63 last season in august over windsors 1m2fs spread-eagling a field of 70 horses behind her and heavily backed, she's worth looking out for in decent ground races at the track

Your comments: This was an eyecatching run by verse of love as was squeezed out giving an 8l start running on to be nearest finish, has not looked anywhere near the form of last season when winning off 83 at chester beating strictly silver and bannock. Also followed up this run with a 4th to mister music and boom and bust he looks in good form now and probably with a decent draw at chester or even switched to the aw looks on a winnable mark.

gabrials gift

Gabrials gift sluiced up in this claimer has looked exposed but the time of this race 1m11.60 and the ease of the win suggests that a mark of 75 looks generous at least over this c/d.Already two class 4 handicaps run over the c/d on Wednesday the times of the winners 1m11.68 and 1m11.99 winners off 77 and 81 gabrials gift looked far superior to those performances and looks worth following at least over this c/d and could well be underestimated if the times are a good guide.Looking at that time it would be hard to estimate how much more there is to come.

pivotal silence,gabrial the duke

Reasonable time for the trip at lingfield on the aw and both horses have been disappointing switched to the turf both been beaten at short prices on a few runs. They now become more interesting and should be a bit of value back on the aw and underestimated and still ope to improvement on the surface off marks around 70.

al thakhira

Although obvious the way this filly quickened on soft ground on debut was big eyecatcher there looks loads of improvemet to come and the time compared favourably to the maiden won by gravitational rated 80.The fillies maiden only .74 slower she looks listed class already to me on this run and with so many very weak races around at that level I think she will be value during the autumn in something a bit better.

Jamaican bolt

Got turned over again on Wednesday but again the ground turned against him drying over the 2 days I think was left in just to get a run.He never travelled in the race and think this was still a decent run running on to be nearest finish on ground to fast free zone was rated 105 last season and jiroft had run well at Epsom off 102 behind duke of Firenze yet was only off 92 in this race. This form could be far better than it first appears, jamaican bolts still only had the 12 lifetime runs and although never gets underestimated in the betting is probably worth following blind now the autumn and ground has arrived..

A reasonable time and the winner back after 3 months break to beat inform porteous, form looks a little suspect through the third expect had 8ls in hand on that but was only 4th strangely hardly shortened from opening price and yet the third was heavily backed.Perhaps expect will be better at wolves may explain the disappointing run but the winner looks progressive was off 75 hopefully won't get put up more than 5 pound and with only 5 lifetime runs will be interesting to see him entered here aghain through the winter.

Sir geoffrey

Sir Geoffrey 7 now and been on downgrade was rated 80 2012 so has fallen 26 pound on the aw,did win on the turf off 50 but has looked very moderate. Last time he ran at swell was rated 77,earlier in 2012 was third to woolfall sovereign off 80 he returned today in apprentice race rated 54.Drawn 6 and eventually getting pushed over to stands side rail by quality art,he won quite easily even though being pushed over probably cost him a length or two.The following div was won by 60 rated Thorpe bay .29 slower than sir Geoffrey which would equate to sir Geoffrey running to that mark,he'll still be running off 54 and there was a little in the tank if he repeats this form he should win again. He may still have enough ability to run to a mark in the mid 60s on this surface that he likes!!

Vermont

A decent time for Vermont even though winning by 16ls and beating nothing, had previously been beaten over c/d but that day was keen and held onto in a slowly run race.He may turn out to be well handicapped was off 82 before winning thos race so will be interesting to see any rise, the time for such a facile win suggests he is well handicapped with just the 6 runs. The listed race run there this season only .54 quicker and only .34 slower than the handicap fought out by spirit of the law and lowther both carrying less weight. This meeting was abandond due to fog and couldn't see how he finished this race which would've been far more interesting to see how much he was eased. He could well be priced up on previous form and might just get underestimated..

Oriental relation

Oriental relation had looked thorioughly exposed running in the 70s on turf struggling to win and over a variety of trips looked one to avoid. Was switched to the aw last time out when collared by angel flores off my to follows, the time of that race wasn't great but le latier has franked the form this week by rinning third in a decent handicap at Kempton.Even with that form being frankled he still looked one to avoid at probable prices, but tonight hacked up by 5ls could've been 8ls and the most impressive thing was the time 1m2.30 that time looked comparatively quick on a card where the 87 rated rivelinos 6f race was 3.12 seconds above standard yet won by over 3ls and could well be a mid 90s horse looking at turf form and progressive sprinter still.Oriental relation is obviously not straight forward but the blinkers have helped looking at this run and the minimum trip,at lingfield he may even take more pegging back as long as he doesn't get a rise of more than 3 pound he may just be worth risking in handicaps as this looks a decent rin on the aw..

Just to add if you look at debut run at Leicester he finished behind anhesontherun now rated 94 and atlantic affair rated 80 had previous experience ran in gp 2 on second run then switched to variety of trips and ground so the debut run does point to him being potentially reasonably well handicvapped.

Shamardyh

Probably would've won this race appeared to be travelling all over these with a furlong to go before clipping heels and giving gibbons no chance. She's only on a mark of 59 so could even drop into a weaker race is still lightly raced with the 5 runs she could be a winner without a penalty sittying on a mark of 59.

Fleckerl

Track a bit quicker today so the time of thios race not quite so relevant in saying that the way fleckerl won the time can be considered decent.Absolutely hacking up behind the field in last place and showing great turn of foot looked different class to these on debut. As from racing post 110,000 euros, brother to group placed winner eldandy 109,half brother listed winner kirkinola 98,dam 6f cherry hinto winner 103.Willie muirs a trainer to be worth looking out for in 2013 had a decent season 45 winners and this looks like a nice one for the aw,time of the race was a second slower than handicap winner eurystheus although only rated 71 the winner and runner up in that handicap aqua gardens stull looked very well handicapped.Hopefully he won't be harshly treated when/if he starts running in handicaps only beat 67 rated runner today but just visually looked stone better. As it's willie muir he may just get underestimated as well and could yet be half decent so has to go in to follows.
