Daily picks.

I flagged this one up to Chris by pm the day it won..i'm very pleased it ran at Wolves today as it always runs badly there..including when fav..if it had run at Southwell would have been very short..now its hopefully going to be returned to Southwell at some point at better odds..i wouldn't be missing this one when it appears again there..ran a speed figure in the 80's and is rated just 71..one of the fastest for class runners this season

Are we all on Hannah`s Turn at Southwell tomorrow?

Already blue across the board on oddschecker, off 75 and no jockeys claim, win was off 65 with a 5lb claim, so up 15lb, but won by 7 lengths eased down. Rambos Will ran ok when 2nd over CD last time and ridden by Shelley Birkett who claimed the 5 off HT when winning over 6 2 runs ago but I'll take Hannah's Turn to come out on top. 5/2 best now, this surely goes off sub 7/4?

Jockey: Hayley Turner
Form figures: 546314

Past Form: Winner of five races from 5f to 6f on fibresand. Finished 4l behind Dream Scenario when fourth of 11 at 5-2fav on her latest outing at Wolverhampton over 6f last month. Has won 3 times here this season.
Your comments: Very interesting times on the card hannahs turn producing something that looked well above this grade eased down by 7ls in doing so,the first div on the card was won by essy winner caramelita winning off 59 in 1m16.89.That time 1.88 seconds slower than hannahs turn a huge time difference, she had seemingly reached her optimum mark last sesson when winning off 64.She now needs stepping up in class as she could well be an 80+ horse on this run she may still be improving. There aren't many handicaps

mappin time,dark castle,bonnie charlie

Mappin time was the most glaringly obvious in this race as was left at the start giving away ground, travellled as well as anything to be hampered a furlong ot but still finished full of running and would undoubtedly been placed at worst. Now down to last winning mark and a preference for decent ground should be a decent price ion one of these handicaps. The other to a lesser extent was dark castle, similarly losing quite a bit of ground at the start switched a couple of times not convinced was trying to get involved at the finish midway through the race.Dark castles getting down near the 75 mark so could be massively undersetimated pricewise only 4 lifetime runs on turf currently off 78,never finished in the first 9 on turf so could be some huge prices floating around.
The last one bonnie charlie not quite sure to make of this run was ridden along early, look to come there travelling strongly then ted durcan looked to stop riding hard to be 100% as he may have been stopped in run.Looked like he gave up when thought his chance had gone, bonnie charlie currently off 78 has only won once since 2008 but nicholls had a bad seasson in 2012.Obviously would be wanting big prices with that only win in 5 seasons but that run looked encouraging.

Burnhope

This didn't look a great race nd burnhopes not running to last years level, beat profile star at Kempton off 70 and then was runner up to aubretia off 75 over todays c/d last season.Matthew Hopkins won the penultimate race today on pearl noir by staying on rail just lasting hoime would've won a few lengths if he kept off it.He then tried same tactics on burnhope, burnhope actually lost no ground even though being at a disadvantage from a very poor ride and might be worth a couple of chances now in form and with trainer in form.

Your comments: A bit of an eyecatcher sir pedro running off 80 has chamged stables, seemingly going well when getting no run 2fs out and still running on under hands n' heels.Thats a decent mark for him on the aw these races are full of exposed runners and it even means he can drop a grade as well and still open to improvement with Robert cowell. The time of this race wasn't that quick and the field finished in a bunch which probably makes his run look even better as the rest of the field looked all out..

The times at lingfield are very difficult to use as rating anything at the moment times ridiculously quick 6f track record broke today infact first 6 home beat it.This time was looking exceptional till that race, but still looks pretty good as winner hacked up and running wide the time only .63 slower than track record set by complicit this season. She could be absolutely anything as won so easily and should take all the beating next time out..

Your comments: Although not appearing progressive after handicap defeats in the high 80s and beaten at wolves last run off 96 grey mirage looks better at Kempton.Winning tonight by 6ls in a decent time for the ease of win there's a few listed races at the track through the winter and i wouldn't discount even though would have to be lifetime best.Still only had 15 lifetime runs with 4/9 on the awthere's a possibility thart he's still got some improvement at 4 and if running at Kempton over the 7fs may just get

Your comments: Lucky di wasn't lucky in this race travelling well off a decent pace race won in respectable time she was stopped in run 1 1/2 furlongs out and came home under hands n' heels.Impossible tio know if she would've won but wouldv'e been close at finish, maggie may franked the form today winning easily off 69.She had run quite well at lingfield earlier in the year when only beaten 3 3/4ls in listed race, she looks better chasing guaranteed pace as this race showed as she travelled so well.Off a mark of

Sir Geoffrey Southwell 3.00

Sir Geoffrey 7 now and been on downgrade was rated 80 2012 so has fallen 26 pound on the aw,did win on the turf off 50 but has looked very moderate. Last time he ran at swell was rated 77,earlier in 2012 was third to woolfall sovereign off 80 he returned today in apprentice race rated 54.Drawn 6 and eventually getting pushed over to stands side rail by quality art,he won quite easily even though being pushed over probably cost him a length or two.The following div was won by 60 rated Thorpe bay .29 slower than sir Geoffrey which would equate to sir Geoffrey running to that mark,he'll still be running off 54 and there was a little in the tank if he repeats this form he should win again. He may still have enough ability to run to a mark in the mid 60s on this surface that he likes!!

Queen Aggie Kempton 4.30

A dubious ride today on queen aggie seemed to be travelling ok jockey martin lane showing no urgency to get involved in the finish or at least the places mucking about on the inside, this trip on this surface may not have been ideal but certainly wasn't out to win this racer. On previous run was a bit of an eyecatcher running on strongly to be 4th to strictly silca decent time of 1m35.64 at lingfield, she's dropping nicely down the weights was rated 94 early in year. She doesn't look straightforward but interesting the headgear worked at lingfield first time, she was probably run here to see if she stayed the extended mile and worth coming back. She looks in reasonable form now and these races are pretty weak sure evans has her lined up for a race or two around new year!!

Grandest

The time looked respectable in this race and the winner only .31 slower than two no bids winning off 71in older handicap but carrying 5 pound more the time looks rock solid. Not many decent times recorded by the 2yr olds so far at swell so before the race a mark of 65 now looks miles off the mark and new mark will be very interesting a quandary for the handicapper based totally on the form.Still looked green infront and visually can see him crying out for further half brother to space ship...

Your comments: An absolutely abysmal race but the winner had only 11 lifetime runs, the runner up also only had the 10 runs and the time was over 2 seconds quicker than the following div won by tatting. The track was supposedly standard which it certainly wasn't was on the slow side so the time looked ok and although the form couldn't be much weaker the winner and runner up could be worth following fior a couple of runs in same grade.

Past Form: Winner of five races from 5f to 6f including 2 wins on polytrack. Finished 2 1/4l behind Tarooq when fourth of 12 at 10-1 on his latest outing at Lingfield over 6f earlier this month.
Your comments: A very competitive race and although picansort is 7yr old has always hinted that he holds something back this race showing his true ability cantering over the field sitting upsides the winner forest edge 2fs out cut up and hampered and finshing under hand's n' heels.Probably the fact he can race in these quicker better class races helps and now he's risen enough to run in them should be worth following on this run. There was another eyecatcher in alben star 6ls off the pace from the break and fin

Trainer: J Tate
Jockey: Luke Morris
Form figures: 211824
Age: 4
Country: GB
Past Form: Successful twice at 7f. Finished 6l behind Dubai Hills when fourth of 9 at 3-1 on his latest outing at Southwell over 7f earlier this month. He is wearing cheekpieces for the first time.
Your comments: Great effort from capo rosso in visor for second time and only 4th ever run on the aw was entitled to win this on the 3rd behind horsted Keynes but raced with the pace throughout and the form looks rock solid with fantasy gladiator back in third. The runner up was outbattled but was only first run on the surface they both travelled so well they may progress on the surface, they will need to as will have to step up in grade.

Shamardyh Wolverhampton 4.20

Probably would've won this race appeared to be travelling all over these with a furlong to go before clipping heels and giving gibbons no chance. She's only on a mark of 59 so could even drop into a weaker race is still lightly raced with the 5 runs she could be a winner without a penalty sittying on a mark of 59.

Sir Geoffrey Wolverhampton 5.20

A diabolical race but winner has on several occasions shown he has ability on debut over this c/d in a decent time behind havin a good time and Asian trader now rated 77 and 79.He picked up well tonight when challenged by the pack and looked to be lazing in front and won cheekily he could be well handicapped with only 9 lifetime runs winning off 50 tonight!!

Captains secret

An impressive win by captain scarlet and maybe improvement switched to this surface which was always a probability through sire, setting a fierce gallop throughout and verring to left but still picking up at finish to eventually be eased I thought this was a real fibresand specialist performance. His previous for behind porteous looked good but he may be even better on this surface, the time of the race only .11 slower than fortinbrass 78 winning the claimer captains secret carrying 10 pound more,i havn't seen many performances like this at swell in this grade he looks worth following on this surface..

Another stunning win on the same card winning by 19ls but could've been 29l the most interesting thing was the time one of the quickest of the season on a surface that is riding slow yet this race only 2.24 above standard.Don't know what the handicapper will do with him hopefully won't be to harsh as the rest looked very poor but the time suggests he could be a huge improver would have to be of interest back at swell, will be keeping a close eye out to see his revised mark. The races here are relatively weak even as the grade rises especially when you stasrt looking at the clock so hopefully there will be plenty of races for hiom to run in..

Dancing cosmos,poppy bond

An absolutely abysmal race but the winner had only 11 lifetime runs, the runner up also only had the 10 runs and the time was over 2 seconds quicker than the following div won by tatting. The track was supposedly standard which it certainly wasn't was on the slow side so the time looked ok and although the form couldn't be much weaker the winner and runner up could be worth following fior a couple of runs in same grade.

Your comments: A decent time at Leicester for this nursery and at the sort of ratings where there could still be some value all below 75,the winner came from last to first and although put up 5 pound could stil be very well handicapped as looked far superior to these. The 2yr old conditions race later on the card .21 slower won by stars above me rated 86 and only carrying 8-2 as opposed to the earlier handicappers.Been avoiding these nurserys as they looked so weak but this one looks following based on that tim

Thoroghly exposed now 7 yr old and at optimum mark but will still probably run well on ploly maybe without winning currently off 67,won off 65 last season at wolves before 4th to lucky dan off 69 in better class race. The stabl;e have given him 2 runs now at swell penultimate run was held up probably 8-9ls off the pace over 6fs at swell and then this race travelled really well looking like wionning a furlong out. He's never looked like winning over 6fs they may try him in a handicap but the straight 5fs over the track maybe worth trying as last two runs he's now proven he can go on the surface. The straight 5fs should suit and although he's exposed quite a few winners there lately from older handicappers on only first or second run.

Seem to be quite a few running everyweek that are no value or no good on aw like hipz simply no good on the aw,there must be dozens to run yet as well going back months!!

Had been sold out of haggas yard for only 5000gns gave this field a 6l start and just getting up to win on line off a mark of 70,shouldn't get much of a rise now with Michael Appleby.Last previous run was 443 days was rated 82 2012,this was a weak race but could be a fair bit of improvement to come.More impressive was the jockey ali Rawlinson didn't look like 7 pound claimer the way he riode this holding onto horse till last 1/2 furlong and still not panicking in finish. He's been an apprentice since 2008 yet only had 9 rides and although I know nothing about him or how old he is he looks an in invaluable asset claiming 7 pound he should pick up some nice rides looks to have a furture.

Probably the classiest performance seen so far this season by a debutant running 1m36.58 but visually much better than just looking at the bare time. She was outpaced throughout and fully 6ls entering the straight, motoring ion last 2 furlongs to win with lots in hand, she could be anything and would be nice to see her on the aw throughout the winter.

If this were on poly surface the top two in handicap would be 1,2 have by far the best form and still open to improvement so bit surprised both been entered at swell.Pushkin museum won in a decent time at Kempton last time out and oriental relation won in a decent time when beating todays winner royal birth, its impossible to back against them but sire stats nothing special. The others look poor but do have fibresand form little bigmans run behind captains secret seemed pretty decent could be the one to exploit the two favs if they don't go on the surface.

Touch the clouds has bits and pieces of form that look solid in this race although has run some poor races in between, out of sl;eeping indian should go on the surface won a reasonable handicap at notts, meebo looks the danger and may improve as sire was captain rio.

Angelo poliziano ran well on only second ever try over 6fs at the track last time out looking like the winner at the 1/2 furlong pole, this straight 5fs may suit now proven on the surface.Shawkantango and monnoyer have run against each other twuice over this c/d and nothing has separated they have reasonable records over c/d.They both have 7 pound claimers riding which should even it out at the weights although will be interesting to see how greenhead high goes in the betting as rated 75 disappointed last time out behind angelo poliziano,he would win this iof back to best.

Slope maybe different class to these especially now with O'Meara but disappointed last time out so hard to have any confidence, while go far has been running consistently not well in with slopeon ratings but out of dutch art good sire on surface could give fav a race.Maakirr also has form on the surface at a slightly lower level so if they both don't go on it he may take advantage would be a bit of a surprise if he beat the two others at ratings.

Go far,maakirr

At their best most of the field look to have some sort of chance greyfriarschorista was disappointing last time out having previously run well when winning over c/d and in a lot quicker time than chrissycross when runner up to peters friend on same card. The 7fs may have been a bit short for him last time out although shelley birkett rides tomorrow so bit of negative there but relative to prices may out run price.Kung hei fat choy is around the marks he was winning and running well at the track last season, chrissycross was only just behind last time out there looks nothing between them on that run and there was 3 1/2ls back to the 4th which points to the form being relatively solid.

Very poor race and a few regulars like mataajir usually runs his race ran ok over the mile here last time out has a 9 pound pull with expres maite for a length, they went really qick in that race so express maite had race run to suit but there looks like there may still be a fair bit of pace on tomorrow so not totally ruled out.Mataajir has the 1 draw if he lays up with pace and gets a lead into the straight he won't be far away similarly danderell only unplaced once from 7 runs at swell.Last 3 runs here hes run over 1m3fs or 1m4fs,so looks inevitable he will try and go with or make the pace and should stay on,sitting on reasonable mark.

Terrible race all the course form form is poor or in the distant past the interesting runner is staff seargent ran over a mile last time out on the track going off stupid price based on applebys reputation the 6yr old was rated 76 earlier in season on downgrade and tomorrow stepped up in trip off a mark of 64.As I mentioned on sunday ali Rawlinson looks a jockey to follow he takes another 7 pound off will be interesting to see if Appleby can end horses regression.Blinkers are tried on old rogue Bavarian Nordic he could run into a place at a big price in a very weak race, even though he's been unsighted the last twice.

Staff seargent,Bavarian Nordic

Abysmal stuff was hoping for something decent to have ago at,hopefully something better over the next week. The wolves card looks as bad I might do it but really is poor as well, lots of guesswork.
