EC - I understand it's out of frustration but referring to folks you know absolutely nothing about as arrogant ****s is just arrogant in itself. Not everyone is like you, not everyone is the same! People are at different stages, looking for different things, some folks like to be in the thick of it with comments all over the place, others prefer to read and perhaps comment occasionally, some folks might start by just reading and then become poster/commenters later on. It doesn't mean they don't appreciate the folks that post nor enjoy what they read in the thread. I do agree that at the very least they should express that appreciation with a thank you comment.
Gigilo - I read everything you post in this thread. Why? Simply because I recognise the quality of the work you do to get to the selections you make - your results speak for themselves - outstanding - by far the best I have come across. Of course I benefit from what you provide and for that I have thanked you both with the "thanks" button and by commenting. I know (and I am sure you do too) that there are other good services out there, not many I have to say, who do similar work and have a loyal following. The difference is that they charge for their services. The best one I know of charges more than I can afford to pay (I don't use big stakes, so I couldn't make it pay). There are many thousands of tipsters all happy to take money for their services - in my opinion, there are only a handful who actually have the skill and who put in the time to do the analysis. You are definitely one of them, and it's rare. I do not have the skill or knowledge to do what you do - but I still recognise quality when I see it. So, thank you sincerely once again for sharing your work. I will continue to read your posts for as long as you keep doing it. Should you ever change your mind and decide to setup a private service I would certainly want to know about it.
Longterm you're not going to win using tipsters,if you do will only be peanuts although most punters go down that road because they like to bet and may lose less or make a small profit the tipsters themselves are just failed punters with maybe a little bit more knowledge.I know a couple of tipsters that work for various racing channels they are reasonable judges but I doubt they make anything like enough punting to make a decent living. It only took me 4/5 years to make enough to pack in betting altogether, the betting really doesn't come into it now too much as health problems that's why I ended up on various forums,i was unlucky as I only started 20 years ago and that's when it was books still weren't taking bets I've had to work ten times harder than the pros I know that cleaned up in the 80s when they were getting the first recordings from tracks on video on the aw it was like taking candy off a baby. They had all the massive draw advantages that have been taken away from most tracks, various bets you can't even do now placepots not going in the pool I caught the backend of those bets and was weekly drawing 5k off hills on the bet to the point where they put the bet up to 10pences even though the tote hadn't been introduced in my shops in local area so less incentive to do the bet as they wouldn't take the stake I would want on,dual forecasts, special tricast races, even though more access to more information and exchanges there maybe a lot of punters that know a little bit more but the same very tiny % of pros that know what you have to do will always be the ones to take advantage..
