With regards to this frank and honest post Giggsy, do you think that I could profit from following your tips over say a year?
Bear in mind I can't get anything on with the 'books' the night before, even though I am definitely a net loser with all of them.
At betfair s.p. would I profit from your selections posted on here?

I've won at sp for as long as I can remember I don't know anyone else that does or that has actually said they do,i only dio a little bit of trading and rthat's when one of those bets comes along that I mentioned the otherday the EG. Johnston horse so I would imagine those alone if you were betting heavily enough wouldf cover the year anyway,but they only come up once a month maybe.I did keep track of figures for awhile last year on the aw and my figures were better than hugh taylors at sp compared to his advised prices probably a 150 bets then got bored but aw season easily,turf impossible to say as 2015 was my best ever year so must've been miles infront at sp but this season no chance as march,april,may and june even though I won they were poorest months I can ever remember.
I would bet anyone that I could win at sp throughout the year if I was beng purely selective and not having 10 bets aday etc as opposed to maybe 1 or 2.have kept record before and always been miles infront bar this season..

TYVM for the reply Giggs. WD on Gossiping being the plunge horse btw, not that I'm on!
I just don't know when to step in and take a punt on these horses. If for example the horse is tipped up at 14/1 and I can bet early next day on betfair in the morning at 8/1 do I punt it?
There comes a point where the price doesn't represent value anymore and I'm not adept enough to know when this is, lol

I'd say why not post up in here the p/l at bsp at levels as you go along but you might want to clear this first with gigilo as he has set ideas about what can get discussed on his thread. It's good to keep records of your bets as a practice and it would be interesting for the thread. But as I say, maybe gigilo won't like this and it is his thread.

Or you could do something similar with Hugh Taylor's as he gives stake size too (on a different thread)

Thanks Lard. I'll keep a spreadsheet and will be betting £50 per selection at s.p. minus 5% comm. This is another failing of mine because I vary stakes willy nilly so this will help with discipline. I won't keep a running total on here, its Giggsy's thread.

I would find another angle than betting at sp,the obvious thing to do is see what [prices are left on betfair following day and see how much they contract over a period of time perhaps the next 100 picks and then see if there's consistent value even at shorter prices on average following day,you can't bet at sp fella not blindly anyway..

Summer icon was 2nd over c/d end of November after 6 month break,race was run in a decent time and had rebel surge and Russian radiance behind,will probably go off fav or jf around 3/1 a lot of these are lightly raced on the aw but she's open to improvement still as well with justb the two runs.Any improvement on the November run then she should hit the frame at least,thought Russian radiance might run better as was in summer icons race ran wide throughout and then switched insde beraten 5ls,i wouldn't be surprised if got closer this time.

Macho mac looks horrible ride far to keen last time out,his previous run had wion by 6ls and looked big improver and on same card ran faster than custasrd the cat that runner won the handicap they contested on same day when macho mac was to keen.This race is a drop back in trip for macho mac,i presume they are just going to let him go forward this time and with headgear on,looks risky after last run but probabl;y worth another chance.
And among angels was 5th in that 7f race also drops in trip doesn't look the most reliable but on a decent mark now and drop in class frame chances,has run ok here last seasdon off 83 when 5th tomorrow off 76

Unlucky there with among angels as well get the 14s in single sp 7/2 for multiples,laughable 10 mins of bad luck there only just walked through the door at 3.35 as well decent day again but could've been so much better..
 
I'd have loved some 14-1 on Gossiping, wd Giggs. I'm happy with my profit anyway!
When Chapman announced they'd put job-jockey Kelly on instead of Crouch I was ,lets say, a bit more confident ;)

Gary moore now trains been with him for three runs,didn't run to badly in november when 8th of 12 at wolves over tomorrows c/d off slow pace sitting at the back to be running on quite well,just the three runs for gary moore has enabled him to drop 11 pound and get into this poor race with hector crouch taking off another 3 pound.Hard to know how much ability he retains but is a weak race,betting will be interesting and last time out was strangely run over 7fs dropped out ran wide throughout by shane kelly and given a 4 pound drop for what was percieved as another desperate run,he's worth another small bet if he's ever going to show something will be in a race like this..Scribner creek impressed me penultimate run,winning in a decent time then flopping over further,anything like thast run would have to be about in this poor race..

Giantstepsahead might be worth cionsidering as well,doesn't look particularly well handicappe but does have some consistent form although beaten easily last time out this race doesn't look that strong for grade and could run ok at a price..
