WPM has made something like 102 entries for the weekend, some 90 individual horses involved.
Gordon has to settle for 78 or so.
Barry Connell has 2 but Marine is one of those.
A few non EU entries to add to the mix.
Many here coming to join us for what can be quite a weekend ?

40 years almost to the day Dawn Run won the Irish Champion Hurdle; I was a few miles away in St Vincent's Hospital after having my appendix removed.
If nothing else come celebrate the anniversary of that momentous surgery ; I am sure people in Vincent's will be !

7 Year Olds potentially contesting the Bumper, plain wrong.

If you want to start looking at NH racing that's the starting point surely.

I have already taken the plunge on Storm Heart 13/8 who looked a bit special at Punchestown

Willie said he intends running him so fingers crossed

Can't say I blame them but he was probably the most likely to have finished 2nd

4/7 about Gallopin with BF looks generous with Gerri out.

GDC definitely wasn't himself after Cheltenham when Fastorslow beat him then Willie brought him back 1/2 cocked when finished 3rd to him again and Appreciate it.

However we saw the real GDC last time when he absolutely destroyed Gerri and had Appreciate 40 lengths behind

You would have to be nuts to oppose him in the Irish Gold Cup

Considering Gaelic Warrior has never been beaten on this type of course that's a very bold statement to make.

Irish Point who you not describe as a 2 mile specialist ran him to a head so he's far from unbeatable.

I put GW up on here on 30th Nov for the Arkle. at that time he was @ 20/1 with the sportsbook so I had a dabble.

I have a slight preference for Marine Nationale so I tried to lay him off at 4/1 but 7/1 for 25 quid is all thats available so I decided to wait till Saturday.

I am not confident either way as they are only novices and neither is the next Sprinter Sacre

If you’re going to measure all novices against what Sprinter Sacre achieved in his career, Tan, you’re sort of wasting your time.

If you’re measuring them against what SS achieved in his novice season, you’re being far too premature.

GW makes this a fascinating contest. Over 2m1f and with his relentless galloping style, this is going to be a really good test for Marine Nationale, and dare I say it, possibly an even more exacting one that he might face in the Arkle. It’s an absolutely tremendous race, and is very-much one to savour.

He's some boyo is Willie. I fancy one of his to beat Found a Fifty. Might lay that one for two places if he's second fav.

I backed Il Etait Temps ew when betting opened (had also backed him for the Sunday race).

He is my cliff-horse though, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it.

I thought he did really well at Limerick to finish as close as he sort of did considering his jumping was a bit scratchy at times. Might be better suited to Leopardstown as well..be an interesting w/o market.

No complaints here about the decs to date and actually boosts my chances..fingers crossed :)

I backed Storm Heart Ante Post and his stable companion and main danger is a non runner.

Also backed Gallopin Des Champs at 4/7 who's now 2/5

Plus a Four horse accie at just over 6/1 which now is around 4.7/1

Storm Heart
Marine Nationale
Gallopin Des Champs
State Man

Hopefully they will all run

Note of caution, Nick......IET not jocked-up and big drifter today (out to 20/1 with Coral). Might be because Mullins has talked-up Facile Vega and Townend rides, but might be he won't go. He's still in the 2m5f race Sunday, but is 66's for that. I reckon he'll probably miss the meeting, tbh.
