Ebay Vs Car Boot Sales

I have a number of items of which I wish to dispose.

I have never been to a car boot sale and I've never bought or sold anything from EBay.

Does anyone have any recommendations and/or preferences?

Look for similar items on Ebay to see how much people are willing to pay. If you're happy with that price and if you can be bothered with the rigmarole of parceling it all up and carting it to the post office I'd chose Ebay.

I've done a lot of car boot sales, and it will depend on what it is you are selling as to whether or not a car boot sale is the right option.
People expect things for next to nothing at car boot sales, and a lot of people take the vast majority of their stuff back home with them.

I did a car boot sale once - with things I'd stolen from work. Choose a nice sunny day, take cool box full of beers, don't put prices on anything. When someone says "how much is this?" look them up and down and say "fifty quid to you". Go home, then put them on e-bay.

Depends on the items, DO. I have sold things successfully on Ebay (wardrobe, car, antiques) but if it were just "junk" items, such as books/CD's, ornaments I would car boot. Clothes etc I give to charity shops.
