End of the line for Fist

Granger let me know the bad news, and I’ve just popped in to go on-the-record to express my sadness on hearing of the apparent demise of Tanlic/Fist.

Any ding-dongs I had with him were very short-lived, and always more pulling-of-legs than anything serious, and his forthright style always made for compelling engagement.

He was a real stalwart of forum life (here and elsewhere), and will be missed.

I hope and trust everyone else at TH is doing well. All the best.

Yes, and all very sad if confirmed.

There’s an old saying, Grass, “one out, one in”. You’d love it back here, now the site owner has sorted out the functionality of the boards. It looks much better.
 
I think its a lovely idea and one to consider once we get it confirmed. Conscious that we might be pre-empting his demise.
 
I just keep thinking that, as he took the trouble to tell us how ill he was he would also have asked someone to keep us informed, whatever the outcome.
