Equine Retirements, Long Term Injuries and Departures

For years I had Snoopy Loopy’s name on a post it above my computer. I’d put it there as a horse to look out for the year he won at Haydock at 33/1 beating no less than Kauto Star. RIP Where does the time go….

Charlie Hills announced Bataash's retirement, hope he has a long and happy one.

Indeed but is that 'cos he has a problem? Why not just keep going until the end of the season, he's not being running that badly? For once, ITV morning bods stating would be nice for people to have given him a send off at a course. Realise he would have no idea but would have been nice for his supporters perhaps.

Sakhee - one of the best looking horses ever, an anti post bet for the Derby when I used to bet more regularly after seeing him as a 2 year old. Had a good retirement at least.

I was just looking at the George Scott yard as he seems to have fallen off the earth since James Garfield. I've just seen all the Gredley horses have been moved. Something must have gone on as he is married to the daughter I thought.

So pleased he’s been retired in one piece. As soon as I saw him in the paddock for the Supreme I thought he looked special.
Going to retire to Mick Fitz’s

Was lucky enough to see him win the Arkle and his 1st CC

His win in the Supreme was probably his best though, beat 2 good uns and the acceleration after the last hurdle was rare and something ive never seen from a NH racehorse

19 in a row is a record that will stand for a few years i reckon

Santa Barbara very sadly displaced the pelvic fracture she had suffered overnight and was pts. :(
