Favourite Actor

Hmmmm......it would have to be between George Clooney, Noah Wyle & Cillian Murphy for me, all for their acting talent naturally!

I couldn't single one out.

Male:
(Apart from my lookalike Robert Redford)
Henry Fonda
John Wayne
Mel Gibson

Female:
For acting ability - Jodie Foster stands alone

For looks - too many to mention + Lassie.

Al Pacino seems to just shout his way through films. I will nominate the excellent William H Macy.

Having watched The Usual Suspects again last night, Kevin Spacey has to warrant a mention. Alan Rickman is another superb actor.

Pee, did you see Wm. H. in a 2-parter called 'Reversible Errors' on cable? He was terrific! He and David Caruso should play brothers some time, since they've both got that crumpled, dry, ginger look. Not conventionally sexy at all, but with a lot of warmth. His romantic half in the film is the equally unconventionally-attractive Felicity Huffman, who's one of the main women in 'Desperate Housewives'. (This, I think, is terrific stuff and utterly hilarious. Thank goodness - American tv is at least weaning itself off pap and actually finding it's long-lost sense of satire.)

I suppose that it is down to the actors whose films I'll watch regardless of what the film is about. In which case:

Jack Nicholson
Tom Hanks

John Wayne an actor

Neither his voice or expression altered during his whole time on screen.

Bill Roache - AKA Ken Barlow what a pro !
