The time Zaarito led by about a fence at Fairyhouse in the Powers Gold Cup, but proceeded to fall yet again, felt like being stabbed. Unfortunately I reckon that horse did serious harm to Colm Murphy's reputation.

I topped up on Sceau Royal 33/1, ew, NRNB for the CH the other week.

Also took Airlie Beach 10/1, win, NRNB for the Supreme and Bristol De Mai 16/1, w, NRNB, for the Gold Cup after Haydock.

I can't say I'm too regretful of any festival a/p bets so far. Campeador and Min for the CH were always very speculative but were priced accordingly. I just wondered about possible changes of mind depending on how things were panning out for stable companions etc.

Couldn't pull the trigger on SJ for that race, too depressing a prospect. I have taken 9s for IGC though and Coney Island was huge on the machine yesterday.

Set to run in the Leop Gold Cup - albeit Robbie Power is out injured

If he wins that, i think the big bolloc*s that is Potts will send him to the GC especially after the weekend

Im betting him as cover for the GC, my biggest bet is in Ryanair
 
I'm sure he'll be sent to the CGC if he wins or gets beaten narrowly but winners of this have a poor record at Cheltenham don't they?
Last year R2R and Valseur Lido ran well here and ended up in the Ryanair while the winner never threatened in the CGC

I've only had one anti-post wager so far - E/W on Champagne West at 100/1 for the Gold Cup.
I stupidly placed the bet at 1/5th the odds 1,2,3, if I'd shopped elsewhere I could have got 1/4 odds.
Anyways, should the unthinkable happen, I'm looking at a four figure pay out for a win, with 210 quid back if he places.

I'll be looking to top up again as I was reassured by Sunday's racing post article that stated the owner wants to run him in the Gold Cup, provided there's some soft in the going description, which traditionally is more likely to happen as the week progresses.

I'll be going to Cheltenham for the first time ever on Gold Cup day with a relative, I'm very excited.
