Films

I thought that downloading films in the way Merlin suggests is illegal and a copyright offence .

I note that this week the BPI has successfully sued file sharers too

JFK, Nixon, Salvador, Platoon, Wall Street, Born on the Fourth of July, Natural Born Killers...

At the most there are two good films in that list.
Which two? Ratcheting my quality-sensor up to it highest setting suggests that Salvador, JFK* and Nixon are all unquestionably excellent.

*as a film, not as a theory. [/b][/quote]
Salvador and Nixon.

JFK was awful, pointless and had Kevin Costner in it.
Wall Street was awful, pointless and had Michael Douglas in it
Platoon wasn`t in the same league as FMJ
Born on the Fourth of July was over-wrought and sentimental.
Natural Born Killers was just shit.

JFK was thought provoking and interesting
Platoon was visceral and harrowing
Born on the Fourth if the July has a great performance from Tom Cruise
Natural Born Killers was fantastic.
Haven't seen Wall Street

Natural Born Killers was utter, utter shite. I had to turn it off! About the only other film that I thought was that shite I turned off in disgust was From Dusk Till Dawn, although that one with Keanu Reeves & Al Pacino [as the devil] came pretty damn close too.

Watched a good old horse racing film at the weekend. Called Archers Adventure. And oz film with Nicole Kidman. About A horse who travelled across Australia and won the Melbourne Cup. It was very enjoyable, made me want to search out and watch Phar Lap again.

The Business - From the makers of the football factory.

Set in the Thatcher era with the cool sounds of the 80's, THE BUSINESS is an action packed gangster flick set in Spain's sun drenched Costa Del crime. Frankie (Danny Dyer), is on the run from the high-rise's of South London to a new life in Malaga with nothing but a tin stuffed full of cash. Having no idea that this delivery of cash to super-suave playboy and ex-con, Charlie (Tamer Hassan), will change his life forever, he soon becomes one of the gang, and finds himself drawn into a flamboyant and violent world of organized crime.

Watched that last night and it was a corker.

The Player
Bob Roberts
Crash
A Matter Of Life And Death
Cyrano (with Gerard Depardieu)
Memento

I'm still thinking..............

Ooops sorry, it's still in production! :D

Also, when released if even half as good as the stage production I saw last week, The History Boys.

Glad to hear that hunney I am going to see the last night of the History Boys tomorrow - about a year after I meant too .

Extraordinary woman of Brighton you might be but this temporal stuff you evidently find difficult - she went last week I am going tomorrow- if she left me an ice cream it will be melted and off by now

I wonder how many times the bridge on the main road into Marbella was featured, a-la El Dorado and, I'm sure, Only Fools & Horses.
