I think Flemenstar is a wonderful horse, but those of you hoping he will be able to mix it with the best on good ground are smoking crack.

I think Flemenstar is a wonderful horse, but those of you hoping he will be able to mix it with the best on good ground are smoking crack.
He moves like a soft ground horse. That was my main memory of his win in the mist in the Grade 1 last year.
I looked at that race again tonight and I disagree. I'm not saying that he is not more effective with softer conditions but look at how he a) jumped and b) created distance between the horses behind him from the 2nd last out. He really attacked the last fence
Yeah. On heavy ground, though
Some horses need soft ground to jump effectively out of. Nickname was one and Rubi Light is another. Flemenstar does not need it.
