Katie T 2015 at Leopardstown, remember you put that up had a lovely touch off it, doubled it with Foxrock on the day too.Kevin Prendergast has passed away. Nothing in betting ever gave me a bigger kick than backing one of his 2yos first time out. He was a genius at knowing what a winner worked like.

Well Done.Hopeful Hero returns to battle 8.30 Tipperary tomorrow.
Hope springs eternal , especially with a run behind us and no superstar in the field , that we know of ....yet.
John Gleeson is required in Bellewstown so Josh Halford takes the reins, having exercised him on a few Curragh gallops.
Congrads. It’s fair to say that Moon Mariner was disappointing last week. She didn’t appear to show much inclination or talent. Hopefully things will improve.
This evening another of our crew makes her debut at Downpatrick. She’s very well bred, and her breeder, Patrick Mullins, decided to name her Closutton. This time last year she was in training but was too weak to make her debut. People are reading a lot into her name, but if WPM and PWM really thought she was the next big thing from the stable they wouldn’t be running her at Downpatrick (no offence, it’s a track I like) and certainly not over 2m4f on debut. But fingers crossed for a good run and a positive start to her career.
Hope Jockey and Horse are OK.Hopeful Hero heads for Roscommon Tuesday once the storm does not change the going too much.
Alan O'Sullivan takes the ride .
A hot enough race with Ripsnorter , who finished third 6 L ahead of us at Killarney, nice looking debutants from Gavin Cromwell (half brother to My Mate Mozzie from Flame Of Tara family ) and WPM ( dam Leah Claire was a decent sort that ran against Missunited)
It sounds like you had an enjoyable busy week with your new handcuffs, arc lamp and thumbscrews, Eddie. All are fine, thanks for asking.
It began a perfect day; sun shining, nice drying wind , quiet road to the races.
Bit by bit things began to fall apart.
The price plummeted through the morning, expecting 20/1 I had to settle for 10s .
The reason was that one member siphoned the price off for themselves.
Such greed can only have one outcome, made worse by another member having more than fair share of the complimentary jaffa cakes on offer in the owners/trainers lounge so it had to end in tears!
That said , we were in a real happy place for the first mile of the race.
As jockey Alan said, " I was just about to plot my way through the field when suddenly we slipped and I was eating grass "
I expect the jaffa cakes tasted better .
C'est la vie.
P..S. it appears now after further inquiry that the price was taken by a non syndicate member.
The Jaffa cake thief swears he was getting extra for his wife and another couple while one of them got the teas.
Such a shame when the truth spoils a perfectly reasonable story; If Cork had only won the Hurling Final there would be none of this confusion from Tipp folk.
Alas there won’t be another day at the track with Moon Mariner, we’ve agreed to pull the plug with her. It’s a shame, given how well bred she is, but she doesn’t want to know about racing. She was very difficult beforehand and in a very weak race she jumped about as well as a grand piano.
