French Guineas meeting

Two Golden rules in French racing; don't interfere with a Head horse
Don't interfere with an Aga Khan horse.
Connections of Missunited were in a tizzy when the mare crossed one of the Aga's runners when placed in Prix Royal Oak all those years ago; thankfully the Aga runner was retreating at the time.

Have a look at Basher Watts on Twitter if you want to see what it is like to be part of a syndicate that has just won a Classic and had been disqualified by the stewards.Raw and emotional.

Seen that. Ecstacy to agony. Can understand their frustration. Decisions, like football, never consistent.

He's carried two rivals right across the track and the margin was just a nose - as stated, Jabarra got demoted for less at Goodwood last year.

Would the French Stewards have done the same to a horse owned by someone else?

No idea, tbh, but they did the right thing demoting this one.

I think disqualification was the right decision but on a human level you have got to feel sorry for the syndicate.Hopefully they will win a big race this season.

It will be interesting to see how the appeal plays out given the other views and the whip ( or hand after he dropped it!) misuse. I know what I think it will be though.
