Galway 2018

I was doing well util I read Mullins saying Limini would run well........to be fair he said that about all of his but that thing made her look like a tree

In the Plate, the main interest is that the favourite is actually the first reserve. It will be interesting to see if anyone steps aside to give it a run. You'd have thought that Calino D'airy should go well being progressive, carrying less than 11 stone and acting on the track.

Lovely to see the sun shining for a change this evening.
Pity with all the fine sunny they got two miserable days Wednesday and thursday.
Changing the plate to an evening saw a 397 reduction from last year's paltry 16000 plus ; luckily 26200 plus attended yesterday despite all.
I hope to attend again tomorrow; Bargy Lady being the main attraction.

Low grade handicaps are the lifeblood of Festivals like Galway for local interest and the chance for a punt.
Last week in Irish Field someone had the idea of having a few 45-65 flat handicaps worth 20K to make proper punting events for smaller units.
