Galway Festival 2025

Just from a handicapping point of view, Nurburgring versus Anyway is a fun one. Anyway is 3lb better off for comfortably beating Nurburgring at Cheltenham. So why is Anyway currently three times the price on Betfair?
Course form in Galway is massive, Nurburgring won a Galway Hurdle off 139, Anyway was well beaten off 116 in a handicap hurdle when falling.

From a handicapping point of view that isn't worth 3lbs and a 2 1/4 l beating. Nurburgring had no excuse at Cheltenham. Ge was beaten by Anyway because he's not the better horse.

That was incredible TV on RTÉ Racing. Both Noel Meade and Gordon Elliott heard the result being overturned live. Meade put out his hand straight away, but you could see he was absolutely distraught.

I didn't think they overturn it until Elliott said that Jack Kennedy was adamant he'd get it after the race. Some drama.

Gleneagle Bay's Victoria Cup form is a bit rampant, f%*& knows what happened at the Royal Meeting. He's 8s from possibly a tricky draw against horses I've never heard of on Sunday. Bet and hope for the best?

Just gotta give a mention to Pete Lawlor what an achievement to get 2 winners at the Galway festival with the size of his operation. I'd never heard of him before this week i only noticed him because as a bit of a coincidence one of my mates is named Peter Lawlor aswell, we know him as No meat Pete as he's a vegan. That aside a tiny string, 13 runners this season 3 winners and 2 of those at Galway festival. The stuff dreams are made of.

That's the great thing about Galway. It's for every man and woman.
