Have to side with Double J on this one, ride of the season or not. If that had been my horse I'd have moved it away from Closutton.

Hard to believe it won ride of the season , must be one of the few sports in the world were you get rewarded for breaking the rules.

Scouting the festival markets tonight and just noticed that Pym has been introduced as 12/1 FAV for the Ultima!!! Not sure where this came from. Was there some comments from Nicky today that prompted this does anyone know?

Pym NOT entered for the National Hunt chase - the RSA his only novice chase entry.
But despite that, there's €102 still there to back at 26 on Betfair.
It was gone yesterday when entries were released, but's it's back again this morning like a bad smell!
Henderson only has 2 other entries in the RSA. Both JP horses, Champ and Champagne Platinum.
The Ultima H'Cap now the only danger of an alternative engagement for Pym, but at already OR 152 surely he'd carry too much weight in that, for a Novice. He'd almost be top weight in the race

Champ is the problem isn't it. It's second string.

Yeah and the RSA is also Champs only entry. And with the whole JP/McCoy connection and sentiment, they'll definitely be wanting Champ to win.
But for Henderson alone, Champ has to rank as a risky proposition. Could easily end up on the deck again. And he got outstayed up the hill last year over a shorter trip, in what now looks to have been a weak-ish Ballymore.

I was only looking at Novice chase entries, but the stayers is interesting that they've entered him at least - but is has to be a very remote chance.
It'll all depend on if he has another prep run. Ascot’s Grade Two Reynoldstown Chase on 15th Feb is probably the only real option.
If he doesn't have another run then he'll surely go straight to the RSA.
Only if he runs at ascot and falls again or blunders a few fences and doesn't win, is the Stayers even an option.

Nico top jockey at 12's seems too big to resist. Goes without saying he'll have plenty of chances over the week.

Get on Thomas Darby for the Champion Hurdle before all the 25’s disappears.
Second in a Supreme, and gave 5lbs and a 14L beating to Pic D’orhy last time out, when winning an Ascot handicap off 151.
He is this year’s Make A Stand. Go and do it now.

I took 40s a couple of weeks ago.
However, Pic D'Orhy wasn't off an inch that day. That was the day I took 14s for yesterday in case he won and went down to favourite.

Not sure that makes much difference, DO. TD certainly worth his revised rating of 158, and inconceivable PD would be raised anywhere close to that, on yesterday’s effort.

If you are alluding to Ciel de Neige Shane be careful as he isn't qualified for the County Hurdle

Wasn't alluding to any horse in particular, as we're not sure yet what WPM will throw at it. But you can be sure whatever they are, he'll have a very strong chance.
Aramon and Tiger Tap Tap are 2 potential candidates that come to mind.

Yeah, maybe. I guess no one would have thought he'd win the first two races last year.
Saying that, he can't have a strong hand in both the RSA and the Marsh as Allaho can only run in one.
