France getting plenty of help from the ref.

Pogba was a straight red. Palacios deserved his first for his part in the spat. The second was a bit soft - the penalty would have been punishment enough - but understandable. I wouldn't imagine the ref would have given it at the other end. I'm not sure he'd even have given the penalty if it had been at the other end.

Life is going to be very tough for Honduras and they'll need to be very much more in control of their physical side if they want to finish with ten men.

I've pretty much kissed my bet goodbye.

It
a) confirmed the ball didn't cross the line when it came off the post (just in case any idiot thought it did), and
b ) confirmed it did cross the line when the keeper fumbled it. (Officially should be an own goal.)
 
Valbuena very good, one of those players who is much better for his country than club.
 
This French team looks tasty, Griezman excellent tonight as are most of them. Honduras a horrible dirty team.

They have a reputation for being physical, which is why I thought they might knock the young France side off their stride. Honduras gave England plenty of problems not long ago and I would expect England to give France a game.

In the end I was glad to see football win but I suspect France might struggle later on.

France look the kind of squad/team to improve as they go on.....goals can come from anywhere
