And for anyone in the Lambourn area tomorrow at 12 the Vine & Craven are meeting at Ralph Becketts yard at midday which is sure to be well supported.

We're a long way from giving up yet

It is illegal, give it up. Openly admitting the breaking the law really will not endear you or your cause to anyone.

Who said anything about breaking the law? Unless you think and having a bit of a trail ride round Lambourn village and the gallops is illegal. I dont have a horse anyway, so i'm just going along for the free drink!

   DG! How the heck do you always manage to find just the right site for the topic in hand?? Brilliant - absolutely love it. Boinggggg....

Right, Tout Seul. So, come on, who's going to be first to throw themselves under Queenie's horsey next time out?

Can't see it being in The Derby.

Anyway, it has been scientifically proven that Ms. Davidson couldn't have possibly known that she was going to interfere with the royal horse when she threw herself onto the course.

Colin

Indeed , the right to vote for half the population rather than the right to terrify and disembowel an exhausted wild animal for a few people in the countryside .

Just got back from the meet at the Garth & South with the Vale Of Aylesbury - what a turnout! There were over a thousand people there to lend their support. The villagers were stood in ther front gardens cheering & clapping us as we drove past, the atmosphere was electric. There were a few police landys hanging about but the Antis were notable by their absence - gutless cowards. The Master of Foxhounds, Chris Austen, & the landowner, Richard Benyon, both gave rousing speeches that had the crowd cheering & applauding. Chris Austen told the police that he can guarantee that they will kill at least one fox but would not divulge how. It has been shown already that the ban is a total farce & inoperable - foxes have already been killed (as reported by Sky News) but quite legally as they were flushed out with a pair of hounds & shot! We WILL win this argumanet in one way or another & the Countryside turned out today in force to stick a massive two fingers up at the Government. Keep Hunting - Keep Fighting - Fight The Ban!!!!! :D

long live the lust for blood eh?

Why should the antis be there if the law is in force ?

What f****g sad sickos you are that your lives are spent charging about the countryside with your hound packs all in pursuit of a fox.

The CA who DO consist mostly of the those who regard themselves above the law
deserve what will happen to them in the future which will involve individuals being targetted by animal rights activists.
They will be acting illegally but dishing out justice to the CA tw*ts

Well said. Lets hope no-one flushes out some of the CA members with a pair of hounds and shoots them.........

We WILL win this argument in one way or another
Erm, no you won't. The rule of law will win the day. It is merely a question of how much people want to try and break/bend the rules and how tolerant the police are before starting to throw some of them in prison. I think that after a week in jail, their "beliefs" will change somewhat.

I think keeping birds in a small cage is cruel, I also think that women who do their nails on a crowded train and put people like me out of commission for a day are selfish , that angling is also cruel. I haven't lobbied for laws against them because I don't expect everybody to act or think as I do. I have literally fought in the streets to stop people who who pick on minorities from getting away with it.(A proud family tradition)
Laws should be to protect people and their rights not stopping things that one might disagree with.

Hard to disagree with that point, Laurence. I kept out of this debate until it was declared illegal. I am speaking out now because, rightly or wrongly it is now against the law and I don't think people should break the law. I don't think I ever do, so why should others and get away with it?

When it comes down to it, we've got Aushcwitz type slaughterhouses all over the place where animals are murdered for human consumption. Any sane human being who dwells on that for a while must surely realise it's not right but, since most people eat meat, most people block it out and think it can't be wrong. So, while the CA are fucking scum we're pretty much all fucking scum together.

PS I'm not putting this forward as a righteous vegetarian, I murdered them for 32 years and I've still got a leather jacket, belt and boots so I'm fucking scum as well.

The human race deserves the apocalypse.

A huge turnout at Woldingham today for the Old Surrey, Burstow and West Kent meet.

Vast numbers of people, and a mounted field approaching 200. Not many protesters, a few of them tried to start a fight but were ushered away by police.

Burnt into the hillside, in enormous letters, was "NO BAN", and I saw a few "Bollocks to Blair" sweatshirts.

Great stuff.

I have also been a born fighter for peoples rights.... but it seems now that the law comes down on the side of the agressor not the RECIPITENT !!! of a criminal act..

When is this going to return to its..... STATUS QUO?........... and people are going to feel safe again?........ I was speaking to a guy who has sons in the police force and his words!!! they have no respect now for the boys!! in blue....

But aint they just making people feel like this!! with the motorist being hit daily for speeding etc and criminals given a free ride.. so to speak....

No wonder its going (gone) pear shaped? h:)

Paul - you're missing the point - foxes were killed today LEGALLY, if you read my post properly you may well have noted that. It just goes to show what a joke & farce the new legislation is & how it will be unenforceable. If you use two hounds to flush out a fox & then shoot it, that is legal - it was done all over the country today. Besides - the police aren't interested in arresting people for hunting, they've said as much - & they will need concrete evidence to convict which will be exceptionally hard to come by.

221Bar1 & Steve T - so you think it is fine for vigilantes to take the law into their own hands & commit acts of violence upon other humans yet hunting is wrong????!!!!!!!!! <_<

As for the Antis not needing to come out - they have said that they will ne out in force from now on to "catch out" those who are hunting - yet none of them where visible where I went (an area where there are usually sabs) as they were too damn gutless to come out.

Honest Tom, can you please NOT compare the humanest possible despatch of animals to the genocide of millions at Auschwitz, let alone the purpose-built human slaughterhouse which was Birkenau? Like a lot of antis, you're going to equate the death of a cow to the death of a helpless Jewish child or Romany mother, and completely overdramatize what is, to my mind, a peripheral bit of rustic life not only to the UK but very, very much to this dreadfully-managed planet. I would gladly see 100 lambs slaughtered to save your life, if the worst of the right-wing ever gained power again, even if you don't think you're worth more than a suckling pig.

Paul - get a grip. Whatever kept this old man going through the horror that was the last war, good on him and his like for not letting this country get overrun by the Nazis, so that you can enjoy the freedom to spout off against him when he's honest enough with an opinion. It looks to me like now people must not even dare to voice what they think unless it's absolutely in line with the prevailing mores of current politics and its' police state. I mean, police force. And what would keep YOU going under shot and shell from a vile enemy? Hopefully something that sixty years later would not bring such an insulting, cheap response as yours.

Fair point. I shall edit my post accordingly. It wasn't meant to cause offence. I apologise, Jon.
