My car insurance firm has made me an offer in settlement of the write-off I recently mentioned.

I think the car is worth more than they're offering. Has anyone rejected an offer and received an improved one? If so, how do I go about it?

Just refuse the offer, DO.

The advice I was given was always to refuse the first offer as they will always increase it. It worked for us, the second offer was gratefully accepted.
