Can anyone tell me how it is possible for an insurance company to transfer a policy from one name to the other without us being notified?
I rung & took out a policy for our caravan several years ago, it was in my name only, then a few weeks later I rung up & added Scott's name as an add on so that if needed he can contact them instead of me, fast forward a few years, when we got married a couple of years ago I rang up to change my name, I was told at the time that it would only be Scott's name on the letterheads & there wasn't enough room for two names, ok fair enough I thought, last week I rung up to alter the value of the caravan & was told scott would need to ring up as the policy was in his name!
How is it they can do this?
