International Hurdle (The Bula)

If Goshen can't give Stormy Ireland 3lbs then they may as well shoot it.

Didn't give any of them 3Lb's, he's gone, if he was ever there....that's the horse we saw on the flat...spends too much time in the air to ever win a CH!

Yes. Moore hasn't got him back. Can bully juveniles running with the choke out but will need to settle to ever progress.

Well done to backers of the winner including Grassy (spit).

Vardana Blue was an interesting watch coming to the last. Almost like Nico wanted it to look like he thought they were jumping ther last...

Ok but him blowing out is not really the argument I was making. Stormy Ireland is a big bag of shite and her rating is complete bollocks.

I was open minded about Goshen but I wouldn't and couldn't bet him at those ridiculously short odds.

Got to love the way Song For Someone scraps. Great little yoke.

Well done digging the winner out.

As far as the Champion Hurdle none of today's runners has a hope i hell of placing IMO

It was really trial to see if Goshen is Champion Hurdle material and for a few stride he looked like he was going to go clear then he seemed to run straight into a brick wall.

Be interesting to hear what his trainer has to say re any excuses,

:( not quite chucked my vouchers away, but almost. I dunno what Moore’s been playing at, never quite let him down with keeping him at it with the flat runs (particularly when his slick hurdling wouldn’t be sharpened). Then apparently misjudging his readiness for this one. Goshen has either gone, or he’s been sick, or Moore’s playing silly buggers.

He had a 6-month rest after Cheltenham!
He's anything but slick at hurdling...jumps high and veers violently right as he tires!

I dunno why people make the same mistake every year of overrating the juveniles.
Think Silver Streak was the moral winner of the race given the way the race panned out.
The race also showed that none of the homeguard have a prayer of beating Epatante.

We'll never know if the Goshen that was racing last March ever Champion hurdle class. (He had never proven it on the track). But the idea that the point was proven today is silly. You'd swear Goshen ran to the same level today as he did in the Triumph and just came up short. He is a broken/ill horse. Allmankind and Aspire Tower have done well for the form to date.

There wouldn't be many that ran the race that he did ( would have annihilated the opposition) that wouldn't have been capable
of kicking that lot into touch yesterday.

He looked all over the winner at Goodwood but like yesterday seemed to hit a brick wall 1 and 1/2f out and just free wheeled home

As Hawkwing said something is clearly amiss.
