Irish Cambridgeshire on Saturday

This is VERY annoying.

Just when I think I'm the coolest, most down with the kids, 62yo on the planet - because I have an Instagram account - Danny tops me by being on Tik Tok.

Evening.....RUINED.

Haha . I have no twitter no x no Facebook no Instagram, it takes me 20 minutes to find the camera on my phone by that time the squirrel has gone. My daughter opened up a tikok for me which is basically full of horse racing , ufc, donkeys, cows and pandas and a guy who sings songs in the voice of Cartman.

I spend my life on weather watch.

Over at Beverley, I can't have Regional (opened 5/2) beat in the Bullet IF he gets it Good to Firm, but we've got some weather coming in and he might not even run if it's on the easy side, so no bet yet.

Back here at The Curragh, I'd like Norwalk Havoc IF there was significant cut and IF it was a double-digit price, so no bet yet either.

I find the drift on Coeur off putting.

I haven't backed anything yet and am considering jumping ship. The more I look at the race the more I see a minefield.

I think I wrote somewhere before Big Gossey's last run that he was getting better as he got older. That was a Group 3 over 6F so he can be forgiven for that run.

I couldn't totally rule out Independant Expert either. 3rd in the race last year. Higher up in the handicap but might have improved since then.

I may do something I should do more often, just sit and watch. 🤣

I said somewhere on here that Biig Gossey was the Irish equivalent of summerghand.
I will have to check its form over a mile.

I'm now considering taking a wild chance on the horse Ian mentioned, Jagged Edge.

Right, it's been a long day, I'm off for an early night.

I want to see the markets tomorrow.

I've been focussed on other races and the only involvement I've had so far is a bit of 9/2 Godwinson (I missed 11/2).

I've not touched the other two yet as they're weak in the betting currently.

I will have a bit on each but I want to try to get the peak pre-race price.

I've been waiting all week just to see if the ground is fast enough for you to venture on to Slims thread with this one. Never brave enough myself to venture on there was hoping you'd lead by example Ian.

I consider myself one of Britain's finest cowards, Daniel, and I'd no more pollute the holy waters of Slim's thread than sign up for a Tour Of Duty, armed only with overripe fruit.

But FWIW, I think the ground won't be quite as quick as I'd prefer but I nevertheless think that what beats the old boy surely wins it as, while seven, not getting any better, hence vulnerable to an improver, he still has form this year that should see him making short work of that lot.

There are too many days like today where I simply can’t find a bet. I accept I’ve become a nit at the weekends, mind.

You and Dessie are my Saturday handicap people. Slim rules midweek if he has a cert. I even do my own homework sometimes, honest!
Getting rich on the back of the work of others is capitalism at its finest, Captains Of Industry everywhere would be proud of you 😂 - plus they do say: "Be a good Judge - AND be a good Judge of good Judges."

You risked your money, Len, so you deserve the rewards.

Delighted for you.
