Anyone know anything about a company called ukshoppingstore.co.uk?

They also trade as Big One International.

I've been trying to contact them about an item I ordered some time ago. No reply. No telephone number anywhere to be found.

Mo I suggest you read the three pages of this thread, hopefully will help as regards a refund even if indirectly.
