We've always had cuckoos in the fields behind us, but I have never heard one of the youngsters trying its voice out before.

Sounds like a regular cuckoo having a hiccuping fit. "Oo oo oo CUck".

Must mean they're getting ready to leave soon.

I've heard some weird sounds when on the gallops near Cheltenham. Wonder if this was it? Was almost a bit scary actually - like some night creature leftover. :lol:
