John Fowler - RIP

I believe John Fowler was tragically killed at home today. John will be remembered for those grand mares Maid of Money and Opera Hat but he had many good horses over the years. He is a brother of Jessica Harringtons. I used to watch out for his bumper horses....he often had a big priced winner and he had a very loyal bunch of owners.

He was less active as a trainer in recent times but he did indeed have many good horses. He was also one of the guiding hands of Fairyhouse and he liked to have a winner there whenever possible.

Very sad news, was killed yesterday when felling trees.

Very sad. I know his son Harry, who works at Tattersalls and is a very good amateur rider - a top lad and my thoughts are with him and his family at the moment.

Was shocked to hear this sad news.

Remember going hunting round his land every April as well. RIP

Never knew or heard of the man but sounds a gentleman all the same.
