Kathy's Mum, RIP

Only just logged on - I am so sorry to learn of your loss, Kathy.

As said elsewhere, it has to be one of the hardest losses to bear and until it happens to you, I don't think anyone realises just how hard it is.

She sounded like she was a lovely lady and you must have so many wonderful memories of her - all the best to you and your family.

It's Mum's funeral today. My Sister has flown in from America to help me with the arrangements along with my brother and other sister. We think we have organised things just as she would have wanted. :)

We have a service in a Roman Catholic church and the service will conducted by the priest that "married" my sister and brother in law some 11 years ago. The church is where my Mum and Dad were married. Although they later divorced, racing had brought them together again as friends. Dad will be at the funeral.

My life has been put on hold for the last 2 weeks and I still have today and Christmas to get through, but we will get there.

Thanks for letting us know. I hope you get all the support you need today and in the coming weeks from friends and family.

I echo Grey's kind sentiments, Kathy. My thoughts are with you and all of your family. You must be feeling completely drained, especially with this shock coming so quickly after your dear friend's death, and all of the arduous work that followed for you. Look after your health.

How dreadful - that is no age at all . I am so sorry . It really puts everyday worries into perspective.

just seen this for the first time today, sorry to hear of your loss Kathy, I hope the funeral went as ok as these things can.
