Kempton boxing day

I'm surprised that there have been no comments on Jacob's performance on Might Bite yesterday (unless I've missed them, of course). I'm talking through my pocket but I thought it was appalling. The horse's jumping throughout the final circuit was impeccable, popping away beautifully until the final fence into which Jacob rode him as if he was a length down rather than fifteen clear. If I owned the horse he'd never ride him again.

I'd agree with that. Don't rate him at all.

We're all familiar with Tony Martin's way of campaigning some of his horses but I find it very hard to believe that there would be anything shifty or any agenda about the way he would prepare a horse to run in grade 1, especially when you consider he's not exactly overrun with that class of animal in his stable.

@DO, very complete and great post. So, I did get it right and you also admitted it you don't care one way or another. Yes I'm very young and I'm at the age when favourite horses are important to me, my absolute one was The Tatling but I continued with Frankel(anyone looking for all of his races and lots of extended vids with him ping me) and now Faugheen. Like any entertainment environment your earliest most loved generation is hard to be surpassed with fresh ones that are basically competing with the nostalgia of the good `ol times. But imagine that you are like me, and you look forward to one of your favourites and you hear no news and are kept in dark from a trainer that you rightfully accentuate shouldn't give a **** about what anyone but the owners. My argument against this behavior remains: this is a public sport and at least for the high profile horses we should get regular updates if we want horse racing fans to get involved. Thankfully we got some from Walsh and RR but that happened after the Boxing day and didn't came from Mullins who knows better than anyone if everything is alright or not with Faugheen. Anyway, this conversation won't lead to anything because WPM MO will continue. Happy new year to you and everyone on here that still hold the passion for horse racing
