When I saw the title of the thread I thought, "Who's she?"

Good name for a heroine/villainess in a Francisesque novel...

This has been a good race to me once or twice, I remember Ponmeoath.
I fancy the two Blueprint sired geldings today, Gas Line Boy & Aranhill Chief, (at a bigger price).

That said, I could swear I saw Gas Line Boy at 33's a fortnight ago, so wish I'd had something on at those bloody prices!

I don't think this is a very good race, competitive maybe, just not very good. I have a list of 200+ horses ready for the TTF and none of those are in it

Folsom Blue for me. Agree it's competitive but a bit short on quality

I defy anyone to have as shite a record in this event as me (still never backed the winner) but love the race to bits, because of what it heralds. I have rowed-in with two lightly-weighted outers in Phil's Magic and Shesaportrait - Heavy ground could find out a number of those at the top-end of the weights. Giddyness has also caused me to back the RFC, eejit that I am.

Fairly boring selection from me as backed Folsom Blue @ 8s e/w. If he's in contention two out he should see it out better than most but Lord Scoundrel did me a favour at Galway so reluctantly passed him over following the hike in the weights.

I believe the last two lightweights I ruled out were first and second. The ones I went with were a faller and tailed-off after two furlongs.FML.

and herein begins another season of backing the wrong Giggi horse... which to be fair isn't too hard when they comprise a quarter of the field.

Not for the first time Folsom f*****g Blue lets me down. Maybe time to stop bacon him but I've done that before and then he usually goes and runs a decent race

I confess I would not be the slightest bit surprised to see Coneygree cart top-weight to victory here........looks a class apart.

I totally agree. I hope Bay of Freedom gets in (we need eight to come out) as the ground looks like being soft and he likes the track and might just surprise a few people (including me). Half of the others either don't fully stay 3 miles or, if they do, have shown their best form on faster ground; Coneygree will be best suited by both distance and ground (although horses either love or hate the soft/heavy ground at Listowel).

A great race for reserves to win pd; White Star Line and Your Busy? that Katie Walsh rode for James Nash are two that won recently.
That said the top weight looks a shoe in should he like the Kerry air and underfoot conditions.
Hope you get in.

Oh dear; cyclamen if flowering, the geese are flying overhead on a daily basis, the nights are drawing in and now it's the Kerry National. Which means summer is well and truly over. But, then again, the proper racing is about to start!
